Subject: | t72 vs javelin |

isn't armor and weapon tech all about measure
,counter-measure , ?
how new is the javelin ? the t-72 is almost 30 years old and
if the javelin came out any time in the 80's it would clean
it's clock everytime but immidiately after Indirect fire
missiles came out chopham and reactive armours started to
hit the field ( maybe wrong order i have been out of curve a
long time) so a new missile would be anywhere between 15-20
tech advances along the line and the tank hasn't maintained
SOTA , still it would reduce minivans to greasy smeers , but
the banshee would prolly bounce all but the newest missiles
( at a decent expense in replacing lost panels )
<totally OT> SA designed "mine proof" vehicles specifically
for troopie transport , called buffels , these vehicles when
on the wrong side of a mine sent the blast onto a raised
sloped glacis underneath the troopies , which protected them
, they got off no hassle (cept other mines, ambush etc),
then waited while the engineers came along to tow away what
was left of the buffel , was it mine proof ? ask any troopie
who went on a flight course and he will tell you hell yeah ,
ask the engineers and hell no , so back to SR maybe let the
runners live but the vehicle should be totalled
