Only problem with this is that sometimes as a runner you can't afford to
subcontract out like that. Not to mention if somebody else offers said
snipers more nuyen to take the target out rather than to protect her...
Recon, however, is definitely a good idea, so long as it doesn't leave your
client unprotected for too long. The scenario would go something like this...
The character goes into the apartment, instructing the girl to wait outside
for him. He searches through all the rooms doing a relatively quick once-over
and walks back outside to find the girl lyind dead on the floor. The
assailant was tailing them all along and when he saw his opportunity he
struck quickly and vanished.
Either way, you're taking your risks. Because at the same time, said
assailant could be waiting in the room and surprise the both of you.
