Incorrect. Chaulk this screw up to newbie inexperience. The GM is fine. The
only "bad" GM is the one that hands things to you on a silver platter. No,
this time its the players fault.

Well at least to a degree, fault is more attributed to the fact he doesn't
quite get the subtle workings of SR yet. Most of us I'm sure would never get
in his situation (we know enough to avoid this kind of setup like the plague
or know loop holes to attempt) this however is his first run.

>From my experience the best "first run" is in a group of somewhat
experienced players or at least in a group that way you have a pool of
talents to use. Being a solo sammy/adept in this run sorry Shredar but
you're pretty much screwed.

Here's the problem, Shadowrun is about information more-so than "Have big
gun, shoot enemies". The typical GM is ready to counter detailed plans...of
which yours so far has been: React to attempts to take girl. You're in a bad
position...the GM is in full control and can make it hell of a lot worse.

Sooner or later your GM will get tired of your muddling about blindly and
send all 5. 1 will grab the girl while the other four pump you full of
enough lead to make you wish it were cyberware.

Or he might be nice and let you continue as is and finish the run...god
knows how long it will take you at this rate.

My only suggestions Shreader is to do the following:

1) Become more aggressive. Reacting to the GMs encounters will eventually
lead you to death.

2) Information is often more powerful than a panther assault cannon. Do some
legwork, background on employer, daughter and thugs might reveal a bigger
and clearer picture and give you ideas on how to handle attacks.

3) If you don't think you can handle 1 or 2 quit the run and take the rep
hit or cred hit. Better than having the char take a deadly wound hit.
