scary thing is that locally ( thanks to our now peaceful but crimefilled
situation ) the AK-47 is available for just over R50 ( south african
currency rand) , which translates to those of you not prepared to look up on
forex to about $5 or even more scary 3 pound , the price of a take away in
newcastle or durham , this doesn't include ammo , and the deal itself is
with less than honourable characters which unless you bring backup will
probably get you dead , the local rate for a murder is the same price but
the purchaser must supply ammo , is this the start of a group of
shadowrunners , i hope not , grenades limpid mines and more orthodox R-4
assualt rifles cost a little more , but normally can be obtained for about
$30 US and a bottle of brandy (3$ US )

consider the fact that the worlds poorest listed nation ( mozambique gpc
$25 ) is our neighbour and former launching point for "the enemy" to get
into the country with an abundance of russian and warsaw pact weapons and an
available market this is not beyond the stretch of my imaginings , and if
you take what is happening in zimbabwe ,horror stories are just nightmares
come to life
