Subject: Deckers, need new system

According to Jane VR, on Fri, 15 Mar 2002 the word on the street was...

That's where I want to go. Ideally, I want to stick with the existing
system as much as possible, but take out unnecessary rolls to make things
come across much more like normal, RL activities do. SR books keep saying
how that's the whole idea behind the Matrix, after all.

I feel there are too many dice rolls complicating things. To me, the
decking system feels like you're asked to roll dice to walk across the
street or to put on your coat... Now this may be realistic, because the
host _can_ prevent you from moving around whereas the street cannot, but it
doesn't help in establishing a virtual reality feel to the whole process.
