Yeah, too bad it sucked rocks. Sorry, I know a lot of people "cut
their teeth" so to speak on the Secrets of Power trilogy, but I thought
they were (as novels go) tripe. There are a lot of other novels out there
that convey the setting, themes, and tone of the shadowrun world *much*
better, novels that don't have annoying supercharacters locked in mortal
struggles with gods and goddesses.
If you want "mandatory" reading for Shadowrun, I strongly suggest
"Into the Shadows."
