I wouldn't worry about the players fencing one at all.
What street fixer could possibly get the money fast enough to buy it before
the military/owning corp tracked it down? And even if the players find a
fixer who could afford it on short notice, I doubt very much he would
*want* to buy it and the heat that comes with it (the military/owning corp
would want it back or destroyed). Any fixer the players approached would
most likely say, "Okay, but it will take me at least an hour to get the
money," while planning on turning them in for a reward.
