They are, and they helped shape Shadowrun. They certainly got me into the
game ("A punk, fighting a dragon! Coooool!")
They're pretty badly dated now as Shadowrun novels, they are about 13 years
old after all, and the SR world has been evolving during those years.
They're still a good read though.
