I understand that's how you're interpreting it, but I'm saying you're wrong ;)
The text you referred to is specifically talking about *visual* cover, not actual cover.
And as I said in my previous post, your interpretation is not consistent with the way all
other magic works in Shadowrun, nor is it consistent with the text that describes it as
being like a physical explosion or grenade. And I guess that's about all there is for me
to say on this issue.
