If you read part of the way down "Most lightning incidents to cars result
in one or more flat tires and damage to the electrical system, but no
injury to the occupants. "
Which means... Crash test baby, with no power steering, power brakes and
possibly a flat tire!
I would imagine that cars become more and more dependant on electronics.
They would probably have some kind of
circuitry to make sure the rigger doesn't get fried if he/she is jacked in.
(the car would take a deadly in most cases.) When cars take damage from
round or grenades most of the time,
the people inside do not have to roll. Only after the vehicle is destroyed.
