If you can remember the rulebook, it's easy to tell the difference :)
Blue book with b&w pages is second edition, full-color rulebook (inside
& out) is revised second edition. In any case the rules, and indeed most
of the book's contents, are about 99% identical aside from a bit of
added material in the revised version.

I've so far managed to refuse buying the d20 version :)
