Like I said, I don't think it matters very much, and FWIW, I only played
the revised edition a few times something like 7 or 8 years ago, but do
own both versions :)

That's one of my problems with d20 in general, regardless of whether
it's Star Wars or not. The only d20 RPG I've seen that appears to be
actually dangerous for high-level characters facing low-level opponents,
is Babylon 5 by Mongoose, because it almost inverses the way you get hit
points compared to most others.
