>>>>>[Sir, my employer has requested that I make contact with you in regard
to
a possible buisness arrangement. This would be a true buisness arrangement,
not the type that so many of the people here practice, with contracts,
schedules, and payment. While I have not been given the authority to inform
you of the precise terms, my employer would like to see if you are interested
in testing some of our ready-to-be-released security goods. These would
include armor, lethal and non-lethal weapons, security devices and electronics,
and possibly vehicles as well. However, I cannot provide details until you
sign a non-disclosure agreement. I have included one for your signature if
you would like to hear more. Please note that even telling relatives or co-
workers would be a breach of this non-disclosure agreement at this stage.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely

Ms. V.

>>>>>[As flattered as I am that you have selected my corporation to
evaluate your equipment, I must respectfully regect your proposal. I
would need to consult with senior executives about your equipment
before agreeing to the evaluation period and this would appear to
violate your non-disclosure statement. If the provision of
consultation with my executives were to be added, I would consider
your offer. Also, standing contracts with various arms manufactures
may preclude the use of your equipment. As I am not currently in a
position to evaluate these contracts, I can defer these questions to
our legal department, if the other provision is acceptable.]<<<<<

>>>>>[The non-disclosure agreement is arranged so that, if you feel
comfortable
signing it, we can discuss in enough detail to allow you to make the decision
whether you would like to take our offer to your executive board. However, if
you prefer to take that step immediately, feel free to duplicate the form I
enclosed previously and distribute them to the board. And of course, we have
no difficulty, at more advanced stages, in involving lawyers with the finer
details of contract negotiations. If this is satisfactory, then return either
just your own signed form or the additional forms of your executive board
memebers and I will be happy to inform you of what we had in mind. Otherwise,
tell me what else can be done or indicate your disaproval and we shall part
ways.]<<<<<

There are the argeements for myself and several of my department
heads.

Now, what kinds of equipment do you have in mind? I've checked with
the legal department and we do have a contract with Ruger regarding
the issuance of semi- and fully-automatic single-hand firearms,
unfortunately we would be in violation of these agreements if weapons
of this class and your manufacture were to be issued to our
employees.]<<<<<
