Upon consulation with the Fearless Leader (Robert Hayden) I have elected to
allow the useage of European Time/Date Stamps.

The proper format for a European Time/Date Stamp is DD-MON-YY. Using the
format DD-MM-YY is not correct, and will result in a correction letter.

We now return to plotlines in progress.....

I dont't know about other Europeans, but the format I use, and is
generally accepted in Holland, is DD-MM-YY, AND NOT DD-MON-YY.
So not 05-oct-55, but 05-10-55. I don't plan to use DD-MON-YY,
unless somebody tries to force me to do so.

The "European" format we're talking about is the one that appears in
'shadow' posts in FASA's European sourcebooks, like Paranimals of Europe.
All shadowtalk in official FASA materials that originates from Europe
uses this format.
*smack* Ya know, I just remembered something. I had it wrong. It's not
DD-MON-YY, it's DD-MON-YYYY. They write out the whole year-like 2055. Oops.
(I feel a thwap coming on)

so is 5-10-55 May 10th or October 5th? See where the confusion comes
in? 05-oct-55 is fine, 05-10-55 is not because it gets confused with the
much more common 10-05-55

5-10-55 is October 5th. I know this is very confusing, but it
is just the way we do it :-).

Sorry to throw another interpretation in, but I've always used 05/10-55
(this is for the UK, by the way). As for "much more common", well; in the
UK, 10-05-55 is a positive breach of etiquette. :-)
