"... this morning in the early hours in the warehouse district, a
serious fire-fight broke out between mercenary units. The fire-fight
encompassed a five block radius, and the area has suffered significant
property damage. Despite this and the fact that the locals were not
warned of the attack, there are surprisingly few civilian casualties.
C.A.S. troops responded to the outbreak, but they arrived too late to
catch anything other than a series of dead bodies. The Mayor's office
has released a statement earlier identifying one of the mercenaries
groups as being under the control of the MET2000. Although they have
yet to identify the other mercenary group, they hope to have a list of
suspects within 24 hours.

released any information on what the higher than normal magical
background represents, but they did say they thought the magical engery
residues are lowering and that it, in itself, should not be a source of
concern for locals.

Pretty ballsy of LSS to mention there was a magical element of what
happened. Anybody know more than what the news is saying as far as
what is going on down there? ]<<<<<
