Lynch is sitting in the passenger seat of Lilith's Interceptor, when the
stolen cellphone rings. Both he and she are in full battledress, hidden
behind the blacked windows.

"Yeah, Oreo." Quinn replies, still with the noisy-but-passable faked voice.

"Oreo? Get to Hazleton Field. You got eight minutes." The distorted voice
on the other end says.

"Hazleton Field? Where the frag is... eight minutes! Drek! You gotta be
kidding!"

"Eight minutes. Be there or get left behind." The line clicks dead.

"Emma!" Lynch snaps, even as Lilith throws the Jensen into a hard turn
and flicks on the siren and bubble light. "Hazleton Field. Eight minutes."

"Good choice. I do not think you can make it." Emma says calmly. "Oreo
would not have gone so far, so fast: otherwise, he might have made it.
We were too efficient and are misdeployed. Only Lieutenant Hart is in
place to try to intercept. You will be at least thirty seconds late:
Lieutenant Rodriguez, and I, at least ninety seconds. V-12 has a recon
drone nearby but the armed units are too far out to be immediately
useful."

Lilith is already weaving through the traffic that is too slow to react to
the Interceptor's shrieking siren and flaring blue-and-red lights: apparently
determined to prove that a rigged shapeshifter, in an Interceptor pursuit
vehicle, can disprove that analysis. Lynch says, simply, "Tell Hart to catch
Malone and slow him down. Any way she can."
