Canis took care of the pursuers, but it took him out cold. But it was a nice

Watch out, there seems to be a real heatwave coming down, and your...
operation is the only one we are connected to that might be the reasons. Watch
security protocols on all channels, even private and/ or encrypted ones. Looks
like this Pegasus-Arsch was better then I thought.

I might actually be in Europe soon. I'm getting redeployed out of the

investigating why MET2000 has suddenly shown up in the Legion's largest
operation. As you have probably noticed, the mercenary nets are alive

Haven't had time to monitor MercNet... don't even really have time to
read Shadowland at the moment. But night OPs are boring, boring, BORING,
especially when you have half-a-dozen watchers and a forest spirit
helping you observe. I _know_ there's a patrol from the Woofers due
along that track we're watching right now, I've got it monitored and
covered, and only three things are keeping me from catching some sneaky
Zs.

One... I just got my second pip (three years' seniority, no particular
merit involved) and I'm an "orfissah" and a Para, and the baby Ruperts
I'm with (East Midlands University Officer Training Corps) need me to
set a good example. So it's wide-awake time and stiff upper lips all
around.

Two, their infantry PSI is a bootneck - Royal Marines - and is _dying_
for a chance to show up the mad Para. So I can't relax too much...

Three, both WO2 Wilkes and the RSM are sneaky bastards who've got as
much combat time as I have (if you don't count the street stuff) and are
past masters at putting one over on uppity subalterns and overconfident
officer cadets. And I can _guarantee_ the moment I settle down for some
Arab PT is when they try to pull a fast one on me...

Never mind. The OPs are the dull (necessary, but dull) part. Tomorrow,
we're putting out some fighting patrols, and that _will_ be fun ;) I can
do a quick eyelid inspection after that.]<<<<<
