ratings, so somebody can't do like I'm doing and move into another
city and claim to be somebody who knows what the hell is going on.
With a rating system, a history can be established, and as long as it
stays in the shadows, anyone can be qualitatively compared to anyone
else.
Oh, yeah, and what kind of a stupid suggestion was rating snipers by
the corpse count? You don't train snipers by indiscriminately
sniping into crowds (unless of course you learned how to snipe in
Europe). You shoot at designated targets, which may or
may not be paper targets, but if they aren't, the shot is a necessity
of the job. Deckers could be rated by penetrating systems and
transfering data or cash into another system, from which it would be
moved by another decker getting his rating back into the origonal
system. Intrusion specialists could be tested by breaking into
comparable facilities. Sams in non-lethal combat. Riggers in races
or simulated actions. Magicians could compete in spell design (yeah,
yeah, not necessarily a good comparison of magicians, but its justa
suggestion).
And if I wanted grammar lessons I'd get an encephalon installed and
slot Grammar 101, but I don't so I won't.]<<<<<
