looks like a pretty safe bet that the kidnappers weren't any kind of magical or
magically-enhanced constucts. They were too small for a borg team (not that a
borg team wouuld have left survivors), plus borg would likely have an astral
presence from the brain case. I've got an associate with a couple ideas,
though. Just a sec.]<<<<

>>>>[Like the kid sez, I can offer a suggestion or two. Spent some time in a
location-which-shall-remain-unnamed with a group of drek-hot wizzers learning
to control my talents, and they hinted that a properly trained initiate could
mask his aura completely instead of just playing mundo. A seriously potent
mage might even be able to craft a spell to disguise other people's auras, but
here we're probably talking a a relic from the Fourth Age, if not earlier.
Either way, we're talking serious drek, boys an' girls. REAL bad ju-ju. So
that's what I think. Back to your regularly-scheduled boy genius.]<<<<

>>>>[Yeah. Anyhow, if anyone has any thoughts one Firethorne's theories, I'll
relay them to her. The only other thing I can come up with is actual robots -
basically humanoid drones either running remote or else using milspec
"autopilot" systems. Anyone know where the kidnapping took place? Anyone
who happened to be nearby pick up possible remote-control trasmissions? Well,
either way, I think I'll poke around and see how many corps I can find in the
Seattle area with the ability to set up robots that would be able to pull this
off. Feel free to look into this yourself, though; I'm not one of Seattle's
top deckers. Yet.]<<<<
