I'm going to keep it short to conserve bandwidth. Just got back from a
night mission and barely spared the time to get myself cleaned up before I
catch a few hours of sack time. So, if this is garbled, that's why.

Things are okay, but it's getting to be a bit of a grind. Must say, I'm
more worried about our 'round-the-clock sorties wearing down the pilots
until somebody makes a mistake, than I am worried about Ackbar and his
men. They never know when we're coming, air-defense was our #1 priority
so the early missions got a little harry, but after that, they toss a few
shoulder launched SAMs or throw up some machine-gun AA fire, but really
nothing to worry about if you're careful. Natural selection means we're
getting less and less with each sortie, plus the crew chief keeps ticking
how much ordnance we have left which puts a little more pressure on us.

MAX has been a gem. Keeps me focused, handles the defense and
countermeasures. Took a round in my wing on my third sortie, got a little
too ambitious and forgot I couldn't quite maneuver like I was used to, but
MAX smoothed things out just great. The MiG being built by Russian
engineers helped some.

Talk is we're getting reinforced from back home soon. The sooner we get
this over with, the better. Can't wait to see you again.]<<<<<
