"flash" from NY
about the rescue.

This is Charlie Fingers again from New York where a Carribean terrorist group
known as the Crimson Sky attempted to assassinate the convicted criminal Dr.
Alexander Jackson during the last moments of his sentencing. The exact nature
of his wounds, beyond a gunshot and a possible magical wound, remain unknown attthis hour,
as do his current whereabouts. Rumors abound that he was killed and
then the Crimson Sky took his body from the ambulance that he was evacuated in.

At this point, the mobs in New York still rage on in a show of wanton destruction that
hasn't been seen since the Night of Rage. The people of the less monied
areas of NY have been on the rampage since Noon. It was all apparently started
by the riot at the courthouse and a brazen daylight robbery of Tiffany's.

The Metroplex Guard has been active since around 10:30 when the attack on Dr.
Jackson took place, but as of yet their show of force has resulted in little
more than injuries and more damage. However, the mobs appear to be tiring
after a day of looting that experts have estimated at costing NY over 340
million nuyen already, and this includes only building damage, not actual
thievery or looting.

Area hospitals are filled to capacity and are sending their new injured out of
the city to nearby hospitals. But even those appear to be filling rapidly.
Current casualties are around 6000, and most are treated and then released. But the
numbers are expected to rise in the aftermath of this Day of Terror.

Oh drek. 6000 injured. Not wiz, chummers, but at least it ain't us it's gonna
get blamed on. Oh, another has just come on...

........the Day of Terror. In late breaking news, a spokesperson for Crimson
Sky who expressed his wish to remain nameless reported to us that they were not
responsible for the attack on the Courthouse today. Interpol agents traced the
call to a local phone and arrested a Crimson Sky member wanted in connection
to over 300 deaths in the Carribean, Aztlan, and the CAS. This reporter remainsskeptical
of their non-involvement.

The combined orginizations of Interpol, NYPD Inc, Knight Errant, and Winter
Security released a report recently stating that police injuries were in excess
of 30, with 12 dead. These deaths have been attributed to being crushed by the
rioters at the Courthouse and to the destruction of three police escort
vehicles that escorted the ambulance carrying Dr. Jackson. Dr. Jackson remains
at large, although it is believed that a harbor battle between harbor patrol
and Metroplex Guard patrol boats involved Dr. Jackson and Crimson Sky in some
way.

It must be said that the conditions for these riots had been building for quite
some time, and that the trial of a known vampire and international criminal
just provided the catalyst that eased the riots into New York. Here with us
now is an expert in the field of psychology, Dr. ....

That's enough of that, I think. Well, we aren't totally responsible after all.
It is rather nice to know that we were only the catalyst of a set of riots that
may destroy half of New York and cost WAY too much nuyen. I think I prefer
