The Renraku arcology at night, enormous, beautiful. But flames are coming
from a platform on one side of it, marring that beauty. The camera moves
closer, whatever vehicle is carrying it taking up a watchful position above
the fire.
From the extent of the damage shown, there has been some sort of explosion.
Wreckage of a helicopter is visible, through a gaping hole in what was an
elevated helipad. Slightly below that, a restaurant with a view of the
whole city has been turned into a killing ground. Numerous airborne
emergency service vehicles are visible, some fighting the flames, others
taking on passengers for medical treatment or transport to the morgue.
The camera pans away as it's vehicular mount moves, swivelling to show the
incoming heli-ambulance to which they have given way. The rescue chopper
dips its nose in acknowledgement, then adds itself to those participating
in the grim task of cleaning up.

That was one of the public landing platforms... as far as my sources can
work out, a tourist chopper exploded on takeoff, killing all aboard and
some in the restaurant just below the landing pad (nice planning, 'Raku
engineers). There are several seriously wounded people still in the arco,
since not all of them could be transported off it in a hurry. Some members
of the public have been taken to the private corp clinics inside the Arco
for treatment, in an unusual burst of public spirit from the corp... don't
it just make you want to go out and buy a Renraku product?
Word on the illicit matrix nodes is that several security firms are coming
on alert, but this is unconfirmed as yet. A connection?
