Paraquat is far more wise and knowledgeable than I am, or will ever be.

Paraquat understands the lot of the poor, oppressed and downtrodden far
more than I, poor, wealthy, corporate, protected, sheltered, suit-clad,
arcology-dwelling wretch that I am, ever will.


I accept that I posted a line of Latin to this board. I have been
persuaded, realise now, and agree without reservation, let or hindrance,
that I cruelly, maliciously and deliberately committed this heinous
crime purely and totally to embarrass, humiliate, oppress, denigrate,
persecute, subdue and tyrannise the poor, oppressed and the lower orders
of this earth.

I accept wholly that Paraquat is the sole and only guardian of said
lower orders, and I wish to publicly state that I will now, gladly,
assist him in his crusade to protect said lower orders.

To this end I am writing to my Senator, asking him to introduce a Bill
to make the use of Latin - in any medium - a capital offence, punishable
by summary execution, and with my newfound wisdom I beg all present to
assist me. Only this can end the plague of poverty, poor education, ill-
health and unemployment that assails today's world: once Latin has been
eradicated from the world, Utopia beckons for all. Paraquat has spoken,
and it must be so, for I know now that Paraquat is never mistaken.


I also admit, and plead the mercy of this board for my crime, that said
posting of a line of Latin text was done with the malevolent intention
of selfishly proving my superiority over all present here on the
Shadowland board.

I did so in order to boast of my formal education compared to all others
here, since Paraquat says - and I tell you all, with my new-found
knowledge, for Paraquat can not ever be wrong - that I am far better
educated than any of you will ever be, and he tells me that none of you
may ever approach my level of knowledge and understanding, and so I
merely chose to grind your collective noses in that fact with my
spiteful postings. I accept that Paraquat is right and I am wrong, I now
see that he was correct and that not one of you can ever be as erudite
and intelligence as I, and beg forgiveness for my error: I shall never
repeat this mistake.


Furthermore, there was a time when I doubted the wise counsel and well-
chosen words of Paraquat. I was as a blind man, wandering heedless,
lashing out at him as he gently guided me with his kind words towards
the path of enlightenment. I beg that this sad time be forgiven. I refer
you all to his kind and gentle guidance, as he steered this sinner back
to his path of righteousness, which I now tread with lifting heart, and
advise you all to follow his words of amiable wisdom.


I plead that my apostasy, when I failed to recognise the all-
encompassing wisdom of Paraquat, be forgotten, and my words of foolish
anger towards him be cast aside, for in all matters Paraquat is correct
and I am in error. Where I am darkness, he is light: where I am strife,
he is peace: where I am hunger, he is bread: where I am anger, he is
love.

Many things said I, that I should not have done. I once doubted
Paraquat, and I plead forgiveness for that offence.

I knew you guys had to bug Yemen early to put out some fires back home.
Me, I spent the whole week playing catch-up (and catching up with Jenn).
So now I have the chance to thumb through my shadowbox on the weekend, and
I see this wierd argument that you Lilith and Quinn were ready to get into
a fight over with this Paraquat.

I mean, if it isn't my place, I'll be the first to butt out, but what
happened that put this thing over the edge? It seems to have veered off
at the last second, but you can see how it might have got me more than a
bit conscerned reading it all in one sitting.

Paraquat was being obnoxious, Quinn objected to a few of his phrases,
and they ended up setting up to fight a duel.

Then he... said something he shouldn't have. A lot of old ghosts got
stirred up, and I had to sedate Lilith to keep her from going out on a
killing spree.

I did what I could to stop it, and managed to calm Lilith down, and
convinced her and Quinn to let it drop.

And now the guy's dead anyway.

And I still have no idea what the hell his problem was in the first
place, or what we did to make him hate us so, and now we never
