....yesterday evening, some 10 heavily armed assailants hijacked a Maxim
Armament Technologies shipment from thier facility in Berlin to the local
MET2000 armory. Declared stolen were two hover transports and numerous cases
of assult rifles and munitions. How the attackers were able to get wind of
the time-table and then separate the escort from the transports is unknown at
this time. However, both the Security branch of Maxim Arms, the parent
corporation of Maxim Armament Technologies, and the MET2000 have pledged the
return of the stolen vehicles or thier destruction in order to keep them out
of the hands of dangerous terrorists.

This follows several weeks of related problems and a recall of all Maxim
Mantichor MBTs due to an armor problem, after one exploded when hit by a
glancing shot. Maxim stock has been dropping on the news of these various
troubles, and orders have stalled. However, recent indicatators show Maxim
recovering its position and previous stock value within the next few weeks...
