>>>>>[M'lord, I believe I know what is going on in the "piasma"
cave in
CalFree. It has something to do with the Tome, does it not? My question is
as follows: Was the blade commissioned by true defense, and forged in light?
Or was it commissioned by the enemy, and forged for it's own purposes?

_Tome of the Blackened Noble_
Chapter: The Light Blade, page 103, verse 5:

"And betwixt the rocks lay the Corrupted,
Our deep shelter rent and torn asunder.
Most subtle, forsooth, we knew not how far
Our enemy had dug within our souls.
Our hope lie with a blade forged rightly;
A straight, shining, beacon of defiance
That would vanquish the taint within our hearts.
A blade to conquer ourselves, our own fear,
A blade that would grant our children the light.
And so it was the shelter wrought it's fate."

Chapter: The Light Blade, page 146, verse 294-5:

"And so it was done, the blade we forged
Shone with the light of the long ago night stars,
Brilliant as the forgotten day sun.
Pure the sword was too, as a virgin bride
Or the innocent laughter of a child.
But we looked inside our souls to find
That we had fallen prey to the hunter.
We were as the twisted rocks around us,
Our dead we hung as torches, the living
Did not wait for their chance to light IT's way.

And so as the blade was done, so we were.
I alone remain, steadfast in my faith.
But even now, as the corpse light grows dim,
I wonder if this is what IT wanted,
If this was what IT's cruel heart desired.
Faith alone had brought me to this foul place,
Crafting it's defense, healing it's people.
Have I wrought this fate upon this shelter?
Have I forged the death of innocents?
The light dims, the flames grow nearer..."

I suppose a similar question might be to ask which came first, the
chicken or the egg. Any enlightenment would greatly appreciated.]<<<<<
