This normally lovely metroplex has been gradually returning to some semblance
of order over the past three weeks since the final destruction of the Lucifer
construct in Fuchi's infected system. However, as I am honor bound to mention
this, it was not Fuchi who created the demonic frame, but a deceased matrix-
runner aliased Dante, thus action against Fuchi is hardly necessary. They were
as much corporate victims as Renraku or Maxim or Shiawase. However, the purpose
of this letter is not to speak about Fuchi, but rather to inform you of the
current state of the Boston Metroplex.
Medically speaking, the VITAS outbreak fed by the deplorable conditions caused
by the total failure of all power, water, sewage, transportation, police, and
all emergency services has been brought under control. The hepatitis and
Cholera outbreaks are expected to be under control within the next few days to
a week. Sewage and fresh water services have been restored, as has partial
power and vital communications, quite naturally to the vital service providers
first, such as the hospitals, clinics, police stations, etc. As of today
Traffic is still terribly congested and only very gradually clearing or being\
cleared by police and the National Guard and Metroplex Guard. The only aspect
that remains unaffected and unpleasant is the criminal element. Gang, Mafia,
and personal crime remains rampant across the metroplex, and the police have
their hands full without even trying to bring an end to it. Thus Boston is
not likely to be a safe metroplex to travel to in the near future.
To all of you that aided in the destruction of the Lucifer construct, from all
of Boston, we thank you.
Now, on to more personal matters. I am currently unemployed. My speciality is
cyberdeck design and programming and I have some unique experience in Matrix
Archetecture design and navigation that could be useful. If anyone is looking
for such experience or expertise, I am available.
