I think that it is possible that Widow agreed with some of the things said,
but when the accusations really got out of hand, Widow began to rebel, and it
was at that point that she could be saved. I think that part of the reason she
was taken over was that, initially at least, she allowed herself to be
controlled... whether it was consciously or subconsciously. I'm not a mage, so
I don't know the magical ramifications of this sort of thing, but
psychologically speaking, it is easier to convince someone of something if
they already partially agree with it...

I'm reminded, after speaking with Blaze about this, of the legend regarding
vampires (and any vampires out there, please forgive any inaccuracies
regarding your condition), where if you invite a vampire into your home, you
lose all power you may have had against him or her. I believe, that since we
are dealing with an 'vampiric' (for lack of a better term) spirit, that a
similar thing happened... Widow invited the spirit in, and lost all chance she
may have had to throw it out. She needed the ritual to be saved...

I just hope it was performed in time. There has still been no change in her
