(=UAC) and some armed combat (¬)). So I read the rules (some times
even the gamemaster should do this) and test them. Soon I got some
big problems. Either I missunderstood the rules (unlikely but possible) or
the rules a little unbalanced and /or Big /&$62&% (Sorry folks from FASA).
My Example:
Take two Street Pizza Archetypes, rise their UAC to six. Both love their
spurs (==> UAC 4,implanted 6, spurs 8). Both have eight dice in their
combat pool. Both have strenght 6, body 6(8),reaction 6(12) and
3 initiative dice. Both could be Dr. Jerry Hall children (cloned ones).
It Happens that Street Pizza -I love the term- One (named Blade) calls
Street Pizza Two (Ripper) "&%(/&%". Ripper is naturally insulted, and
calls Blade a %%$&&&*\**.
Both are enraged and roll for initiative Blade gets 28, Ripper has a bad
day and gets only 19. In 28 Blade wields 16 (= 8 skill + 8 combatpool)
dice aggainst target number 4. Ripper wields the same number of dice
aggainst the same target number. So maybe both get same number of successes
-tie goes for the attaker so Rippper rolls 8 body dices aggainst 5M
(he has some armor with an impact value of 1) - lucky one gets four
successes- So he suffers no wound. In 19 Rippers combat-pool refreshes
and he has 16 dice aggainst a target number of 4 while poor Blade only
got eight dice aggainst 4.
Statistic says Ripper gets four successes more than Blade. Maybe Blade dies
right on the spot due to this deadly wound, if he has an unlucky body roll.
Blade was a big time earlier than Ripper but he looses this fight.
The rules give the slower person an imense advantage - it isn't right
I think.
If there a any house or Fasa rules for this topic so either send them
direkt to me (RAB@***.INFORMATIK.UNI-MANNHEIM.DE) or on this line
And excuse my &$$&%$$-enlish
