In what was has been declared an arson and murder by Lone Star, the home of
Mr. Scott Tytle was burned down today. There was concern that the fire was
similar to several other recent fires, but fire officials and Lone Star
have concluded that this arson is independant.
Mr. Tytle's body was discovered buried beneath the second floor of the home
in the burned ruins of his kitchen, having died of extreme burns. Lone
Star has reported that the autopsy showed a recent blow to the Mr. Tytle's
head had rendered him unconscious prior to the house being set on fire.
However, fire officials have been unable to explain the significance of the
untouched natural spruce beams which supported the entryway and hallway.
The fire which totally destroyed and collapsed the remainder of the home
only blackened the spruce beams with soot. Magic is suspected, but no
information has been forthcoming.
Mr. Tytle had recently purchased the new home and had moved into the home
only days before his murder.....

This is Nikki Citizen, coming to you from Redmond, where a fragile truce
between two rival street gangs was shattered last night by the untimely
death of one of their leaders. Chaser, the leader of Zippies, a metahuman
street gang from near Glow City, was found murdered. Lone Star has been
unwilling to discuss the murder, but the rest of the Zips have concluded
that the Night Screws, the opposing gang, are responsible. Earlier this
week, the currently raging gang war was narrowly averted by the
intervention and mediation of Patrick O'Kennedy.
Mr. O'Kennedy has declined to discuss his part in all of this, saying only
that he was too busy trying to save lives to answer our questions. Good
luck to you, Mr. O'Kennedy.
Lone Star has been unwilling to send officers into the Barrens to put a
stop to the raging gang war, and the only official statements on this
conflict have been "No comment." This apathy regarding the residents of
the Barrens is the reason that gangs have been alowed to rule the Barrens
for years, and until the officials of Seattle actually begin to care enough
about the Barrens to put money into patrolling thier streets, putting out
the fires that start there, providing medical care to thier residents, the
Barrens of Redmond and Puyallup will contine to plague Seattle with thier
violence and thier dispair.

Still, there's some 1500 kids bashing each other's brains in out near Glow
