>>>>>[ The issue of the vampires has once again raised its head. As I have
devoted considerable study to the species Sanguisuga Europa, I feel qualified
to comment:

On the topic of groups: Yes, indeed, there are groups of vampires in the
Seattle area. The majority of these are, for fairly obvious reasons, quite
covert affairs. Also, there are nightclubs where the majority of patrons are
HMHVV infected, although mortals are permitted. What makes such establishments
so intriguing is that it is quite vogue among mortals to go to such venues
with the appearance of a member of the undead due to the proper utilization of
garb and cosmetics. True vampires nearly fade into the background near such
"pretenders." There is also the case of the Vampire gang in Los Angeles known
as The Bloodrunners--quite unpleasant on all accounts, permit me to assure you.

Airborne HMHVV virus: Possible, but highly unlikely. For one to be properly
infected, one is required to have all one's Essence, or Life Force, drained,
unto the point of expiration. One will resurrect the following evening (this
duration is by no means set; it varies from individual to individual) as
Nosferatu.

HMHVV Dwarves: I composed a report on the unusual phenomena only recently
taken note of in the paranaturalist community, that of the Redcaps in the
Scottish Border lands. There is considerable speculation that they are
vampiric dwarves. Normally, when a dwarf is drained completely of Essence by a
vampiric being, it simply dies, as the innate defenses prevented the virus from
"taking hold", so to speak. It is quite possible that in rare cases, the
dwarven natural resistance to pathogens was insufficient in successfully
combating
the disease, and thus they would rise again as Redcaps. I still have the
profile if you are interested.

Dual-Nature: Nosferatu are NOT dual-natured, according to all the research I
have performed to date. True, they have an almost inherent tie to magic, but
this does not indicate a perpetual contact with the Astral Plane, as in the
case of dual-natured beings. ]<<<<<
