I had a buddy of mine change the insurance papers on the vehicles around a bit
so that I made a pretty good profit. Yeah, baby! I love this job.

If it werent for the fact that I still gots bills to pay, I would up and quit
now but, you know how it is. Once you get some toys, you just gotta have
bigger and better.

Oh, and I would like to publicly thank Neuron Basher for the neato-keen-never
before-seen video editing suite. Now I just need a machine big enough to
run it on *HINT HINT*. My poor little head computer just aint got the
kick needed to slot it.

Almost forgot something. I lifted some phone codes. You know, the ones you
use to make calls to your buds down in the CL when you dont want anyone to
know you did? Well, burn this one. Its probably only going to be good for
another 3 days so dont forget to call mom and say hello. This might be the
only time you get free phone service for a while.

+++++ include Phone Code 2

Hey, Dr. Bask, I could use your services if'n you are available. I need some
upgrades to the box.]<<<<<

*****PRIVATE: Pharaoh
>>>>>[Mr Pharaoh, Dark Avenger told me to contact you. I'll be meeting
you at >>encrypted<< unless I'm delayed. He also said to send you a list
of gear I'd need. So here it is. I left out the knife and the boots and
the forearm guards and the other stuff I can just wear coming in because
even Aztlan says it's legal. Especially the boots because I've got a
really good pair of Rocky Mountain lightweight combat boots and it would
be very difficult breaking in a new pair and Mr Avenger wouldn't like it
if I kept getting blisters.

One thing that's a bit difficult is the rifle. I'd _really_ like an Ares
Alpha, but they aren't exactly easy to come by. If you can't get the
Alpha, then an AK-98 will do as long as you can fit it with Smartgun II
hardware. Whichever you get it needs a Lyco 442 compensator and a shock
pad, a size 4 if it's the Alpha and a 3 if it's the AK, and the grenade
launcher needs a rangefinder link.

If it's the AK I need the front sling loop moving to the side of the
forestock and a Royal Ordnance combat sling fitted instead of the
useless Russian one. And speaking of which, it had better be a _Russian_
'98 or I'll be annoyed. If I get it and it's a Sumatran clone I'll tie
it around your head.

Also change the iron sights for Bedek tritiums in case the smartlink
goes down, and I'd like a spare battery pack for the smartlink just in
case. That's whether it's the Alpha or the AK. And a bayonet, either a
Solingen GK5 for the Alpha or the issue PrL-K for the AK-98, either
should fit even over the Lyco compensator. DiKoted if you can manage it
please.

Eight magazines and five hundred rounds of APDS ammo, or at least high-
velocity steel-core lightweights with alloy cases. I know the
lightweights don't pierce armour anything like APDS but I need to be
able to carry lots of ammo and the lightweights are, well, sort of
light.

Twenty IPE offensive minigrenades, ten white phosphorous and ten IR
smoke. All airtimed, of course.

A H&K P27M14T2 automatic and a Beresford silencer, screw-on not snap-on
please. Two spare magazines and a hundred rounds of ammunition, 200-
grain Federal JHP +Ps by choice or Ares Silver Ghosts if you can't get
the Federals. A Bianchi Bodyguard Special shoulder rig, size three,
left-handed, with an accessory silencer carrier to go under the mag
pouches.

I'll need two sets of combat fatigues. British tropical pattern if you
can manage that, with one set of matched armour inserts. My measurements
are >>encrypted<<, and no wisecracks please, it's all natural. I'd also
like a Securetech helmet, size 5.5, preferably with an IR floodlight on
the left side mount.

I hope you know what DA uses for comms gear because I need a personal
com unit that will interface with it. I'll also need a Nav-Dat system
and the most up-to-date map chips you can get on Aztlan and Amazonia.

For load carrying equipment I like standard CAS Army web gear, it's the
easiest to use as issued, except bin the entrenching tool and let me
have an extra water bottle and extra ammo pouch. Berghaus Crusader VI
rucksack with side pouches, two more water bottles, a Serpent bivi bag,
five GL ration packs.

The other stuff like duct tape and para cord and a Leatherman tool and
spare laces and whatever I can carry anyway, but these are the obviously
military things that get you in trouble going through customs.

I can help pay for them if you've got a fixed budget and this all goes
over, because I know I'm asking for good stuff, but I'm going into a
pretty dangerous place so I think I need it.

And I know you're a nice honest person so you won't mind me telling DA
if I had to give you more money to cover all this at all because I know
you wouldn't rip one of his people off and it seems I'm one of his
people now.

Anyway I'll see you in St. Louis and we can talk anything else over
there, but this should give you time to get moving on hard-to-get stuff
like the Alpha if you know where to get a good one. I'd rather have a
good AK than a bad Alpha though.]<<<<<

Sir,

the hit on Customer Tac.09351 was executed with extreme brutality, and
some ... professionalism combined with blind ignorance. We suggest a
search warrant filed with LSSS, concerning the subjects. Please see
these files, taken from the local security cameras.

+++++ Begin Download: HCSecCam.mov
A low-res picture taken from a slowly moving camera, somewhere in a
weapon's store, in a high corner. Two people enter the store, one
dwarf, shaking rainwater from his chemsuit, and a human or ork with a
hooded raincoat. The dwarf says something to the larger person, and
they both laugh. Suddenly, the large person throws off the raincoat,
showing a green nylon jacket and, somewhat more eye-catching, a large
automatic shotgun and starts firing a long burst at the attendant's
bullet prove glass cage, which proves there are differences between
"bullet proof" and "lead wall proof" - it shatters. The dwarf, who has
drawn a short SMG by now, paints a triangle of blood on the shocked
shop attendant's face, and runs toward the box.

The other one - probably human, although it's hard to tell, as he wears
a ski-mask, turns around, and raises the shotgun toward the camera.
+++++ End Download: HCSecCam.mov

We picked this up on the outdoor camera monitoring the street after the
alert. Exactly 95 seconds later. These guys were fast.

+++++ Begin Download: HCSecCam.mov
The two people run into the street, each one carrying an army
carry-all stuffed with rifles. They run over to a parking cabrio
sports-car, and jump in while the car's motor starts up. The dwarf
brutally shifts into gear. The corpulent male on the passenger's seats
stands up, and fires a few shots from his shotgun at the pedestrians,
who quickly dive for cover. As the car speeds down the evening road,
both men yell something uncoherent.
+++++ End Download: HCSecCam.mov

The sports car was found two hours later, still burning, in Redmond. It
was reported stolen just 24 minutes before the raid. Neither in the
shop nor in the car's remains are any fingerprints or usable DNA
materials.

The wild fire on their escape hit 5 civilians, two of them lethaly. One
could be reliefed from hospital after ambulant treatment, the others
are still in intensive care, one of them still critical.

Store lists indicate three stolen assault rifles, at least five heavy
caliber sporting rifles, some handguns and lots of ammo missing. The
specifics are:

+++++ Include Weapon_list.dat

I recommend increased presence of patrols on streets in the
neighborhood, although the lack of evidence and the speed the ambushers
had, indicate pros of some level, probably shadowrunners equiping
themselves. ]<<<<<
