>>>>>[I do not know how much you are still following the Seattle
ShadowLand node, but some somewhat compromising footage regarding Faerie
came out publicly, not long ago.

I no longer have a copy of it, but to summarize, it showed her luring a
man into beginning sexual relations and then killing him rather violently.
The poster was Troglobyte, who, it appears was being paid by Faerie to
suppress security systems at the time, but some animosity developed
between them and he released the footage to the open node.

It almost goes without saying that this caused some serious repercussions
among the group. Michael, was, I believe, the most horrified by what he
saw and took it rather badly. Given that the rest of the Shifters are
more acquainted with some of the darker aspects of shadowrunning, they
took it remarkably well. Of primary concern was if she had actually done
this deed and if so, her reason for doing it. After my release from
servitude, I made my view clear to you that I would no longer wish to
participate in, nor work with people that I knew to murder for
entertainment or profit. Michael feels similarly, but given his relative
innocence about such things, he is more adamant than I. There were, of
course, the usual humor and comments on the node that would follow footage
of that nature, but overall the reaction was more surprise at her target's
stupidity than any negative comment about her actions. There is still
some concern among the group regarding what repercussion this will bring
to the Shifters if it becomes public knowledge that Danielle is a member,
however. This may be what is inspiring her desire to no longer be your
doppleganger. If Faerie were to cease to exist, it would not be
compromising for the Shifters.

We decided to meet and discuss the matter thoroughly. According to
Danielle, before she became Danielle, she had been employed by the man
that she killed. Although "employed" is probably inaccurate, since it
appears that he did "things" to her and forced her to do things that she
still considers too traumatic or humiliating to share with us, although she
did mention, that he had "enemies to dispose of." I am willing to respect
her privacy on that matter since she was quite sincere. Those things were
the prime motivator for her actions. She felt if she didn't kill him, he
would eventually do the same to someone else, or upon finding who she was
now, to her again. She was not very remorseful about the act. If I
recall correctly, she said, "I regret what it's cost me... dignity, rep,
honor, maybe even you guys. But I'd do it again. He had to be stopped."
Regrettably, I understand her feelings all too well.

As for the unusual manner she chose to kill him, it seems that the man
kept himself well protected with physical as well as astral security, so
she had to find a way to lure him into being alone with her. Once she had
done so, she was planning on killing him quickly but noticed his astral
guard watching them both. At which point, she felt she had no other
choice than to give the man what he wanted, in hopes that it would get the
overwatch to go away. When he did, her...revulsion at what she was forced
to do caused her to slay the man with extreme prejudice.

She has been through a lot lately, and I am not sure that you should do
anything about it now, if you could. Time for your trail to run as cold
as is going to get is probably well passed. The Shifters have accepted
her explanation and will continue to welcome her into the group, and we
believe she will become a strong member, as long as there are no other
deadly skeletons in her closet. As Michael pointed out to me, the fact
that she seemed to fear what she was becoming seems to be the best sign
that we have little to fear from her in the future. If she wishes to
return to her old appearance, then I feel you should let her. It
may be just what she needs to heal from this.]<<<<<
