>>>>>[ Wow. Here’s a first. LSS and the Feds both seem to have mobilized
to investigate a crime scene in Tarislar. Apparently, someone using the
Wanderer’s MO took out two SINless (and wired) shadowrunners.

Here’s what I have figured out of the scene (and don’t ask how I managed to
get this many details…). Elven female runner, probably street sammy
material, was crucified in typical gruesome Wanderer style. Boyfriend
runner, a rigger, tried to flee to his enhanced vehicle. His hand got
caught in the door (the Wanderer must have slammed the door shut while he
was trying to get in, and then it went downhill from there. He ended up
being a hood ornament for his car.

I assume that this happened prior to the massive firefight happening.
Someone showed up and took exception to the process. Clues hint that all
the involved parties got away, perhaps taking their casualties. What was
left on the scene is fragments from a cyberlimb getting torn to shreds by
something, and what looks like the shattered fragments of sword. And not
just any sword – it’s the remnants of the Wanderer’s sword.

I suspect it was the additional firefight that got them moving on the case.
Of course, the locals are being their typical self in being helpful, so I
wonder just how much progress will be made. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I figure you are probably still watching the node after Croaker's
latest tidbit. I have some bad news and worse news. Although I have no
doubt that you won't shed any tears of sadness if the Wanderer dies to the
hunters pursuing him, these very hunters will prevent me from taking any
further action on what I am writing you about.

Last night, a magically active elven shadowrunner, named Charity, attacked
your brother in his house. Deuce showed up and a little later, Lurch and
FireWraith showed up. Unfortunately, LSS showed up too late to be of any
use other than to get your brother to safety.

I have no illusions, Charity was trying to use your brother to get to me and
probably to get to Deuce. She succeeded. The most annoying part about this
is that she managed to capture Deuce and I have no doubts that if someone
doesn't respond, he is a dead man. So assuming that you still care about
Deuce's life, and that one failed attempt to kidnap Mark won't be the last,
I am sending this to you.

With the events that have been happening to the Wanderer, I have no choice
but to get out of Seattle. Charity is gunning for me, and now I have
additional problems. I leave Deuce's life in your hands. I have left a
datafile on all the information I have on Charity at Easy's club for you.
If you don't pick it up within three days, I have instructed Easy to destroy
the information. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ As you might expect, things are warmer than I would prefer right
now.
The Wanderer's mess is going to drag me out of Seattle at probably the worst
possible timing.

I need to keep this short because time is critical for me now. Mark was
attacked in his house last night. It didn't make the news because Mark's
label covered it up. An elven runner named Charity and some hired guns made
the hit. Deuce, Lurch, and FireWraith showed up (the latter two I didn't
want to send but was too afraid not to send them) to oppose Charity. It
looked like she wanted to kidnap Mark. She changed tactics when Deuce and
company showed up.

Forged -- I know you don't want to get involved, but she managed to capture
Deuce. No doubt it was meant as a lure for me, but I doubt she will settle
for only one shot at Mark. Sadly, Monica died in the firefight. Mark isn't
taking it well, but my hands are completely tied now. I cannot even
approach him due to fearing that I would just put him in more danger.

To complicate matters further, Nightmare is now aware of what is going on.
I suspect he is inbound.

Easy, FireWraith will be stopping by briefly to drop off a datafile for
Nightmare on Charity. I'm doing it that way so that if Forged doesn't want
to talk to Nightmare, he doesn't have to. I suspect Forged knows pretty
much everything in the file anyway. If he doesn't show up in 3 or 4 days,
then I guess he isn't coming. If that is the case, the file is pretty much
worthless anyway, so trashing it shouldn't be a big deal.

Lilith, Scourge -- Croaker shouldn't have opened his mouth. I don't know
the MO of the people hunting the Wanderer, but something tells me that
Croaker could be in danger. It might be a good time to find a constructive
use for Croaker and the crew to keep them out of harms way. If you can't
think of a way, oh well.

By the way, with Doomsday's return it is official. I'm no longer involved
in the club. Doomsday bought the remainder of my share out with his
savings. If someone could help him become a little more legit so he doesn't
run into problems, I would appreciate it. I couldn't bring myself to tell
him about Death's funeral. I figure it isn't for me to put a fracture into
his relationship with Nightmare. ]<<<<<
