>>>>>[ Easy and I are going in this weekend. Hopefully, one way or
another, it will all be over by the end of the weekend. I'll meet you
at >>encrypted<< o'clock tonight at the location you sent.

There's some other things I wanted to ask you about, but I'll wait until
I see you tonight. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I've got a bad feeling about the whole situation. Call it a hunch,
but I think we're going to have to end up eliminating Colleen. I wish to
hell I knew what was going on with her .. fraggit, no matter how much Kor
says about cutting loose, he's not going to be in good shape if we have
to take her out.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I dunno, but I'm not taking any chances
with this one. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Sorry it took a while to pull this hit, but that was a tough one.
It's a real bitch trying to hit a secured apartment complex with an
airgapped Matrix in an area with a guaranteed five-minute police
response time.

We did it: discreet and quiet right up to the moment we blew a hole in
their wall and came in shooting.

Three people in the room with the 'phone, one of whom we snatched: the
other two wound up dead. We also cut a swathe through the building
security and shot a police car into Swiss cheese in the process of
getting out alive with our prisoner, who we had to snatch back from the
security when he abandoned his two lady friends to make a lovely swan
dive from a fifth-floor window into the pool.

Luckily, the security grabbed him and held him for us, then we arrived
and killed the security to get out ourselves. The cops were early, one
cruiser which I put out of commission.

Noisy, messy and too public for comfort. Don't want many more of those
and, with a double-digit body count, I'm glad we're out of state.

Nobody got a good look at us, at least, and I'll be functional by the
time we get to Denver. Second Chance saved my butt again. Griff got out
without a scratch _again_: someday someone will have to tell me how he
does that.

Anyway, our prisoner was persuaded to talk. Well, actually he screamed a
lot and talked a little. Trax, your style is interesting, I wouldn't
mind learning some of it. It certainly seemed to be effective. He tried
to claim they were working _for_ Colleen, a notion that didn't last too
long in the face of some pointed questioning. Good thing we didn't have
nosy neighbours.

We have three names.

The first is the Johnson in Philedelphia they were originally hired by.
About who we expected.

The second is a middleman in Denver, which is where we're headed right
now: he was paying them when we arrived.

The third is what our prisoner called "a dealer" who they turned Colleen
over to for delivery somewhere or to someone. No data. She didn't seem
to be doing much of that by choice, but she was alive. I'm meeting the
dealer in town and we'll do some legwork on him and the Johnson, try to
find out what the word on the street is.

We've still got Skinner alive, but we'll ditch him before we pass the
Pueblo checkpoints, so if there are any other questions you want him to
answer we need them soon.]<<<<<
