I've been checking out Meyers new corporation....Whoah!!, The IC on thet LTG
Is .Glacial. ... I couldn't do much, although I did make a nice little back-
door for myself for future reference.. but the data stream through there is
Phenomenal.. i was reading about 400,000 Mp per millisec...there's some serious
hardware at that new site...where's Meyer's getting all the nuyen?..has anyone
found out what this Company actually does yet..Automated Infoworks or whatever
it's called really isn't very revealing. Anyhow, the Genetek system is history
, I'm justing checking over the logs and the data we found now, I'll get back
to you all once i've had a chance to read it...]>>>>>

>>>>>[Well Chummers... it was a very good run we had into Genetek, Shades
and
I... thanks again for those extra programs chummer... it made life a lot
easier...

I'm not gonna send a log, because, frankly, I don't feel like it... I'll just
give you a basic rundown of what happened...

I met Shades as arranged, and we headed over to the Genetek system... I had
one of my houds run ahead to scope the place out a bit... from the outside
anyhow... my hounds may be impressive, but they can't cut through IC that
well... especially corp grade IC... that's my job...

Anyhow... when we got there a few seconds later, there was no alert, nothing
to show that they had any idea we were coming... which was good... of course,
things also seemed a bit too quiet... which was bad... but we needed to go in,
and this was the best time...

We sleazed our way through the SAN, and then hooked up our 'link'... so that
we could split up and cover a little more ground... it would make the work go
faster... although it would be tough if we ran into really heavy IC, we both
felt as though we could handle it...

So we branched out... poking through low-security datastores to see what sort
of stuff Genetek claimed to be working on... mostly stuff to make stronger
crops for arid/difficult growing regions...

I scanned the personnel files and discovered that Panthra, who has been
bugging WHAT down in Denver and so forth, is none other than the Security
Chief of Genetek, Tracy Williams... aka "Jane Wood" from the warehouse
tapes... geez... the people just keep popping up, don't they...

So, WHAT, the girl you've got MUST be Susan... the daughter of the CEO... she
ran for a reason, and now they're after her... we want her back in Seattle, in
our protection, ASAP. Do what you can... I realize that you've got your own
problems, but try and get her back to us...

Well, I stopped messing around with the simple stuff and headed towards the
heavier datastores... stuff with Red security and heavier IC... but there
still wasn't too much trouble... we could sleaze our way just about
anywhere...

Well, I slipped past the CPU and headed down into the more private areas...
where the research itself and the 'logs' of corp officials were held...
started running into some heavier stuff... so Shade and I met back up... we
started doing some digging...

We didn't find much... at least, nothing that realted to Purge... so we were
heading back when I noticed a drone run through the wall of the SPU we were
moving through... something like that always is suspicious... so we poked
around and found a concelaed dataline down into another section...

Thinking we were getting close to something big, we moved carefully...

There were a couple of datastores, an SPU, and a direct connection that went I
don't know where... but it wasn't a normal SAN.... we saved that for last...

The datastores had heavy IC... the first contained records... plans for
Project Purge... not details, but enough to implicate Genetek in the plot...
who worked on the virus, how they came up with it, stuff like that... mostly
scientific jargon that I didn't understand... but it gave some names... the
main one was a shaman named Erik Tomass. He did the main magical work on the
virus... something tells me that he was the magic type at the warehouse...

Geez... my head is spinning... I'll get back to you.... later all!]<<<<<

>>>>>[Chance and Co. It has been brought to my attention that you and your
group are planning a rather extensive run on a competitor of ours, Genetek.
Due to the nature of your run, we would be willing to offer a sizable amount
of nuyen in exchange for information or personnel you may liberate from
Genetek. Consider this an open offer, with the reward being dependent on what
you bring out.

We are especially interested in aquiring proof that Genetek has been engaging
in illegal research into biogenetic weapons, as well as any research or higher
level management personnel who would be willing to transfer to Phoenix Star
Inc. Other cutting edge research will also be considered.

Please respond to this LTG if you find this acceptable, or wish to add
stipulations or conditions on payment or procedure.]<<<<<

than
your own _sis_, it's about time you pulled your own plug, capice?

As for you, Panthra, if you're keeping this family apart, so help me, I'll
carve you. Lousy corporate sonuvaslitch.

Widow, I know you love your brother too much to say this, but someone hadda
tell him. Sometimes tough love is the only way to love someone. BTW, Happy
Val's day to you two...I envy you kids.]<<<<<

bet is
that Jack is also not himself... he is probably being controlled in a manner
similar to that being which tried to take over Widow's body... only this time
it was more successful...

So while I realize it had to be said, I doubt that Jack's comments can be
taken as his true feelings, just as what most of Widow said during her...
struggle should be politely ignored.

Chance and the others have headed off for their meet with Phoenix... I'm
staying behind to keep an eye on the place and do some research of my own,
while Chance & crew give Phoenix Star our information so far...

Or rather, give them a copy of what we've got so far... you don't think we
stepped into the shadows yesterday, do you?]<<<<<
