First class accommodation, expensive leather shoes rest on the foot step
on the air liners' seat in front. A bottle of champagne and a small jar
of caviar sit on a stand next to the luxurious seating. The view
outside the craft is of cloud tops, well below the aircraft. Well
manicured hands hold a current edition of the Seattle Times.

I thought this might interest those of you who can't afford a decent
newspaper to read.

+++++Include Seattle Times, noon edition, frontpage

Early this morning in an unprecedented cross city combined effort,
Seattle Law Enforcement agencies began one of the most complex
operations in the history of the city. No less than fourteen agencies
including the FBI, Maxim Security, Knight Errant and Lone Star swooped
on CoT hideouts and weapons caches. Approximately 500 people have been
arrested or killed in prolonged gun battles with security officers.

An anonymous tip off provided a considerable number of addresses and
locations at Lone Star Headquarters in downtown. The scale of the
operation required that Lone Star combine their efforts with other
Security providers within City Limits. 237 Officers have been killed or
injured in an operation that would appear to have broken the reign of
terror that has hovered over this city for nearly one and a half years.
Although the self proclaimed leader of the terrorist organisation known
as the Children of Thunda appears to have escaped the city wide net. It
is believed that he has fled the city early in the campaign to avoid
arrest.

One staggering fact that has been released is that FBI agents engaged in
what was described by locals as a full scale war managed to kill a
Thunda look-alike, and confiscated videos that showed this man exiting
from a "demonic gateway". In appeared to be an attempt to convince
fanatical members of CoT that their martyr Thunda had returned. Jason X
Goldsmith (real name withheld) was killed in a brutal battle that left a
large number of Agents dead and injured, and wiped out the group of
mercenaries that were accompanying Jason X. The area is still under
Police guard and it is believed that considerable information leading to
the destruction or arrest of CoT cells across the American continent has
been uncovered in the re-enforced bunker that Jason X was using as a
headquarters.

The appearance of this individual, and the presence of the videos and
stage equipment has staggered Law Enforcement officials. Speculation is
that if this terrorist had managed to get his message onto the streets
to the ears and eyes of CoT members, the carnage following the
revelation would have been apocalyptic in it's nature. A spokesman for
the FBI this morning stated: "...that it would be impossible to project
the effect and implications this would have had on the CoT members and
the fanatic extremists at the heart of the organisation. We can only
thank the anonymous person who uncovered the information that led to the
arrest of so many CoT members, it is reassuring to know that such civic
minded people still exist out there. We have had similar successes in
other cities, and it would appear that at long last we have broken the
back of CoT organised terrorism in the UCAS. We cannot however, take
credit for the capture or death of Jason X. Some other person took a
hand in that. Jason X was in fact incinerated. We are still unclear
exactly how this occured. He was surrounded by officers, and showed
every intention of surrendering, his group beaten and he being trapped.
Something occurred that Agents are still being debriefed about,
resulting in Jason X literally burning to dust before we could
intervene. We have reason to suspect that an as yet unknown magician
may have taken the law into his own hands."

Seattle's Governor has praised the actions of Lone Star, and also the
co-operative nature of the operation. A spokesperson for the Governor
was quoted as saying: "...and with luck we will see more of this sort of
co-operation in the future, offering better protection and safety for
our citizens. At least now the innocent citizens of Seattle can get
back to their lives and breath a little easier knowing that no matter
how organised terrorism may be, Law and Order will always prevail."

On a related note, the body of ex-Achilles Project commander FBI Special
Agent Christopher David D'Arkan was found in the woods on Vasso Island
in Washington DC. He had been savagely beaten dying from his wounds and
exposure. The FBI believe that his death is linked to the intense
investigation he was involved in into the organisation CoT. Special
Agent D'Arkan had been decorated several times for courage beyond the
call of duty, and only last year survived an assassination attempt that
resulted in the deaths of a dozen of his fellow agents. He was one of
the FBI Officers instrumental in...

It's nice to be thought of as civic minded. Brings quite the rosy glow
to the cockles of my heart.

We may meet again, but for now. It is over.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. Mr. Coppinger, and any other member of Law
Enforcement that just happens to inhabit this node - heh, some secret
huh? Maybe the owners should consider their security measures more
closely - they /are/ after all betraying all of you. But I digress, I
have a little challenge for you Mr. Coppinger. There are 23 chemical
devices placed at strategic points around Seattle. Let's see if the
rabid animals you call 'operatives' can find them before the time comes
to detonate them. You have a little time to achieve this. Let's see
how clever your organisation really is. The answer lies somewhere along
the matrix trail you have been attempting to follow. The devices are
placed in sequence, find one, and you find a clue to the next. The
clues will give you the time of my return, and how long you have. Don't
waste time, there is more than you think and less than you need.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I could do with some sleep. It's been a
busy week.]<<<<<
