A dark figure in a darkened office sighs as he disconnects the cable from the
datajack at his temple and clicks the briefcase on his desk closed.

He rises, crosses to the door <<CAMERA SHIFT>> emerges in a plush hallway
lined
with windows, overlooking the large security control room. The little red
lights are blinking more than usual today, he notices as he strides down the
hallway to the door at the end, labeled <<CLOSE-UP>> Saito Kenuchi, Matrix
Security Chief.

<<CAMERA SHIFT>> Interior of an office considerably messier than the first we
saw, but equal in size, littered with assorted electronic equipment. A figure
hunches over a deck at the desk...

The door opens, quickly and quietly, and closes again behind the man in the
black turtleneck and trenchcoat.

The man at the desk looks up, panicked. "Griffen! What's up--"
By the time he could utter those words, the man at the door has crossed to the
desk and torn the cyberdeck away from it's user. He looks at the screen in
horror, then stabs at the keys.

"It's no use, Gryphon. You'll never get us all."

Meeting with little success in probing the ones you caught. They've got some
sort of post-hypnotic deathwish.

Oh, and what was that little scuffle downstairs? ]<<<<<

we may be able to help each other...
**ENCRYPT EBONY'N'STEEL v.4.3:
Well, you've used up all the ones we've caught, so I hope you got _something_
out of them.

And what I do is none of your business. Just plugging a leak. ]<<<<<

*****ENCRYPT JUNEAU v3.2 MORIARTY MPCP:
>>>>>[ This is Griffen Hitori, Chief of Arcology Security, Special Projects
Division. Enclosed are the personnel files and my dossiers on all the agents
we've managed to root out so far. My associate, a special consultant whom I
belive you know by her trade name, will be forwarding reports on those we've
managed to get anything out of. Which, as I understand, has been quite
difficult.

>>INCLUDE FILE: ILLUM.PERSONNEL;*

I'll be getting more reports in from my opposite numbers in the other various
Renraku divisions. Will review and forward to you as they come in.

Now then, what have you found? ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Due to the rather extreme security requirements of the orginization I
work for/control, I cannot file you such file as you sent me on my
orginization. However, I can tell you that we were able to get from our
compromised Agents a
list of Renraku individuals compromised by the Illuminati. Most were on your
list, only 1 was not and we have been unable to aquire him as he has not left
your Arcology. We also have the following list of others that your
counterpartsin other locations should remove...from thier responsibility.

*****Include Seattle Individual Dossier: Ann-Marie Kapp, Computer Sec. Dept.
*****Include Renraku total known Dossiers: RENRAKU_DOS.34NAMES/*.*

While we cannot verify that all of them are compromised, the first 10 names and
Mrs. Kapp are a certainty. Please be aware that we have sucessfully purged
our orginization of all Illuminati agents and that these 35 names are spread
out through the entire world, only 1 or two per location or division. You
should be able to do so yourself. You can be certain that they are Illuminati
operatives if they have some form of post-hypnotic or spell-induced brainlock
that causes them to go comatose and die when captured and interrogated. We
here at Central have been able to circumvent this somewhat. We use similar
spells on our employees for security purposes and have a limited ability to
reverse the process. However, this only gains time and gets only general
information at this time as the subject still dies of shock after about 10 to
15 minutes. Still, this is an improvement over 30 seconds. If you wish, we
can provide you with a lower level magician who is capable of this reversal.
For a price of course. He or she would be a consultant, payment is negotiable.
What else did you have in mind in regards to your situation?]<<<<<

and
m' Mind Probe keeps running into a block of some sort. If ye can come up with
the spell formula that put i' there, I think I can crack i', but 'm na' going
to push i'. That's how we lost t' last batch of informers.

On the other hand, if this is psychological conditioning, and she really
doesn't know anything consciously, perhaps I can crack that as well. I'm
eminently qualified.

Unfortunately, I suspect that it's a combination of the two. However, I'll
forward what data we have.
