to my car.

I reached into my pocket for my car keys, and felt something else resting
on top of them. I pulled the object out, and then nearly dropped it: it was
a ring, onyx I think, of a perfectly formed spider. I looked the whole thing
over, and also discovered a ruby, in the shape of an hourglass, underneath
the body, where it would rest against the wearers skin. There was something
about the ruby that was almost mesmerizing...I found that I could see more
and more deeply into the gem, and could almost perceive a pattern. For a few
minutes, that was all I was conscious of, the pattern. I wasn't even seeing
it any more, it was in my head, rushing around and around.

I finally snaped out of it, to find myself still standing next to my car. A
few minutes had passed. Feeling kind of foolish, I looked back down at the
ring, only to find it somehow on my right ring finger. Feeling kind of
nauseated at having the thing on my hand, I tried to pull it off. I couldn't.
Believe me, I tried everything.

So, lassie, I'm sure this is nothing, ha ha, just some sort of joke or
anti-theft spell, hee hee, but I'd really like to get the BLOODY THING OFF!!!

By the signs of a minor war zone, I managed to track down Gawk's position. The
two burning wreaks marked the alleyway. Gawk had this wierd look on his face and
was tenderly holding a dead, female squatter. As I got near, he snarled and
swiped, his spur ripping a chunk out of the alley wall. Trying to keep as calm
as possible, I urgently told him who I was, where we where and how we needed
to get the frag out of here. Then, slowly recognission filtered on to his burnt
face. Gently he rocked the dead girl, back and forward, tenderly stroking her
charred hair. Like some sort of morbid chant, he muttered "Crystal, my beautiful
Crystal". Tears forced their way through his blackened face. He wouldn't let go
of her, despite my best efforts. I darted him with my narcojet. It was only
then when I realised the extent of his injuries, Blimey, I'm still amazed that
he was still concious when I turned up.

He was in a real bad state, I patched him up as best I could, but mentally, I
think he's Fragged. He said during one bout that he'd talk to Phoenix last night
And a few other things which I won't repeat. I've got most of Gawk gear here
and some of it's very heavy duty. That's got me just slightly nervous.

I'm a bit stuffed here folks. AJ, Slash and Co, if your in the area, I could do
with a hand. Berlin's not my town and it ain't definately my fun place. I need
a good street doc or a Merlin in the healing line. Fast.

The situation is this -- Teutone Bleu, Mage, Artificier with some abilities
with summoning, created an ally which is aptly named Brimstone. Brimstone

I have verified the identity of the prime movers in IF-1 they are
secure. However. I have been hit twice now after passing across
information as to my location. Someone in Zeus is transmitting the
location of external assets. I would suggest here that this person is
or has also transmitted the location of the core team. As per my
previous orders... though wether these cowboys are following them is
another matter.. Canis/Orion, Inferno can be trusted implicitly. You may
recognise Inferno from that job in Colombia, but then again you may not.
I can't remember if you met him or not in all that confusion.


Bull seems to be pretty solid, but I'm beginning to have doubts, he's
been away from the scene for a while, and is taking huge risks. It may
be a good idea to keep an eye on him. He's not quite up to speed on
present conditions outside the CZ yet.
