>>>>>[If you're still interested, I just found a reachable source for a
V-94.

(I don't count the Pattern Room in Leeds. They might have one example of
just about everything, but they have security to match)

The owner is on the collector's circuit, and is willing to sell. He
wants a hundred K in clean cash, for what has been assessed as a
Category B+ example. Some cosmetic wear and tear, but mechanically
excellent.

I can either broker the deal, or give you the details so you can steal
it. My guess is, cheaper to buy, but it's your call.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Incredible. I seriously thought this might have been too obscure even
for one of your talents. Congratulations Easy, my respect for you has
climbed several notches.

I am quite happy to leave brokering in your hands and I'll pay whatever
percentage you normally take on a deal like this. Just let me know where and
when to deliver the cash and I'll make the arrangements, also of course
specifying delivery for the weapon.

I think I owe you one for this.

Later.]<<<<<

>>>>>{I'd like to bask in your admiration, but the sad fact is that I'm
married to the eldest son of the 'Carpet Salesman', who you _must_ have
heard of if you've ever tried to buy weapons in the Middle East. The
Cuma family have been arms dealers since the Crusades, they're good at
what they do.

*I* didn't track your rifle down, I asked Mani if he could quietly find
out where a good friend of mine could get a KBP V-94 in decent condition
from, and he asked his family, and they made whatever discreet enquiries
they make, and they came back to me with the name of someone who had one
and was willing to take cash in order to part with it. (We've got some
backups, but they're less willing to sell).

As far as money goes... I'm comfortably wealthy now, living down in
Aztlan, with my Seattle business mostly being handled by Vincenzo; so I
don't need a fee. I'd figure ten per cent for the Cumas for finder's
fees and brokerage, plus delivery expenses, would be all. One-ten G
clean credit to >>account details<< and we'll get the deal going: I
figure I can trust you to cover any exceptional expenses involved in
delivery once we've got the weapon, but unless you want it parachuted
onto the White House lawn we can probably get it delivered on a
complimentary basis.

I'm just hoping you don't try to cap this with an even rarer item (if
you do a Lynch and ask me to find a fireable Gabbett-Fairfax handgun and
ammunition, I'll just have to kill you) We _do_ have our limits, you
know. At least Jason and Lilith tend to just be in the spare-parts
market, rather than whole weapons, and don't get hung up on authenticity
(that old East German AKS-47 Lilith keeps around hardly has an original
part left, and I'm pretty sure Jason's G3KA4 has had just about every
metal component except the backsight replaced at least once)

You don't owe me anything special for this. If I need you, I'll ask for
your help. If you find you need me... you know where to reach me.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Greetings my lady. I have another rather odd request for you. This
is
very specific and I can offer top rates for acquisition. I have a client in
need of a Russian V-94 in as close to mint condition as is possible this
late after it's release. I appreciate this might be difficult to acquire but
perhaps a collector has one somewhere and there is a six month lead time on
this which should give you sufficient time I believe. I will take delivery
of the item personally as I need to deliver it personally. Hopefully you
will be able to assist. Again, price is not an issue, but the weapon is.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to offer.]<<<<<

>>>>>{I'm minded to just send you the Cuma family inventory so you'll
know what's ex-stock and what's "who the hell remembers _that_?"

As you say, this is not an easy order. KBP never did make many V-94s.
(I'd never heard of the damn thing myself...)

Does it _have_ to be that particular weapon, or would one of the South
African or American monster-killers do? Or a nice PTRD anti-tank rifle
in 14.5mm? Perhaps a .55" Boys?

No, it's okay, I know you. If anything easier would do, you'd ask for
the easy one. This is payback because we found you a Dragunov easily,
isn't it? Now you want to really see what your arms-dealer friends can
scrape up.

We can't provide a V-94 from stock, but I guess you knew that already.

If you're not in too much of a hurry, which your post suggests... we
might be able to pull something off and get you what you want. I can
give you a go/no go and a price in six weeks or so, and if I give you
the 'go' then we'll easily meet six months for delivery.

You're lucky that I'm a hardened professional and I know better than to
ask you for the who or why of these little deals, or even to think about
checking who's shooting what or whom with 12.7mm x 107. But then you
knew that too.

Stay safe.]<<<<<
