>>>>>[ An artificial Vampiric Virus?!? (incidentally, Highlander, it is
redundant to say HMHVV Virus, as it is Human Metahuman Vampiric Virus Virus...
somewhat similar to Sahara Desert, another misnomer) Such a proposition would
be an extraordinarily BAD innovation.

If a corporation, indeed, if any group, could disperse this pathogen at will,
the effects could be quite, well, undesirable. Permit me to illustrate:
Have you ever visited Los Angeles? Within the confines of that charming
metropolis is a specific gang commonly termed, The BloodRunners. The group in
question (although rather small in number), is composed exclusively of HMHVV
individuals.

This has the rather singular effect of counter-balancing their numerical
inferiority to such a degree, that they are capable of spreading inordinate
amounts of havoc, and are QUITE difficult to dispatch...to such a degree that
local law enforcement brings para-military response to bear whenever they are
involved in an "incident."

Now, with that stimulating image still within your mind:

Imagine corporate strikes teams so altered.

Most fortunately, the Bloodrunners exhibit little danger of uncontrolled
proliferation, as keep their ranks conspicuously small, and all inductees must
endure a quite extensive initiation ritual and ceremony. Further, it is also
encouraging to report they rarely go upon rampages, except for incursions on
neighboring territories. However, corporate forces are not and would not be
so lacking in initiative.

Now as to the feasibility of this concept (which I imagine you are convinced
would be quite unpleasant) it is a decidedly and categorically difficult
proposition. True, it is a virus, although not one in the traditional sense.
There are definite, although not quantified, connections to magic. There is
even some speculation a successful tranmutation into the Undead can only occur
in a mana-rich environment. Efforts attempting to synthesize such contributing
factors would encounter considerable vicissitude, to say the least.

It should be pointed out, and what is supported by the research discovered by
Highlander, is that the above considerations would probably not prevent
corporate scientists from TRYING. Furthermore, for those of you not already
uneasy at this prospect, consider this: If it is actually synthetically
engineered, the possibility exists there may be methods discovered to
circumvent the Vampire's allergies, most notably, to sunlight. Picture, if
you will, aforementioned strike teams knocking on your door in broad daylight.

As I said, extraordinarily BAD. ]<<<<<
