They've got biorythym monitors hooked up to a hotline to backup, consisting
of a Hughes Stallion (from rumour, it'd have light armour, a pair of small
calibre rocket launchers, and a pair of LMGs) carrying a Fuchi FRT (not
clear on the details of these guys, we can't melt Fuchi HQ IC). Response
time is unknown... if they're ready, they can cover the distance from HQ to
the lab in about a minute and a half - add getting into the chopper,
loading weapons, etc, and you're probably looking at about 2 minutes, but
that's more of a guess than anything else. The chopper has to land on the
helipad you pointed out yesterday - there's not enough room on the grounds.
There are five or six of these chopper plus FRT teams on duty at any one
time, so there's not much chance we can send them all to false alarms
around the city. Added to which, if we deal with the first FRT, there'll be
a second on the way straight after they lose contact.
The grounds have a few basic alarms (matrix isolated, so we'll need to take
a closer look at these sometime soon) that alert the donut snarfers, who
then talk to HQ about backup if necessary. There are some chipped up dogs
on site, their pen can be opened by remote control. Physically speaking
anyone connected to their system (that includes the donut snarfers, HQ, the
secdecker, and me if I get in there) can open it - and to prevent humorous
deckers from releasing the hounds when the wageslaves are outside on their
smoking break, there's a second door which is only open when they've closed
up shop for the night/weekend. Once it's open, the pen has to be closed
physically (another humorous decker prevention method).]<<<<<
