Enclosed are amalgamation plans as requested, two versions, first for
maximum effectiveness; the second as subtle as I could make it without
reducing combat effectiveness below minimum parameters.
+++++ Include file: Amalgamation plans.doc
[Complex, detailed and well annotated plans detailing the relocation of

[More complex, detailed and well annotated plans detailing the reallocation
of various key resources by minor troop movements, armoured support
training...etc. which is marginally less effective but barely noticable as
anything other than standard troop movements.]
As you will see priority has been given to ensuring that armoured units have
sufficient infantry support, and that all locations have sufficient arms and
equipment to at least make any incursion costly for those involved. Please
note that additional IWS supplies will be required at the Bellingham boot, I
have taken the liberty of requisitioning the appropriate equipment.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Hey, wassup, let me tell you a story...

+++++Begin file meeting.ftg
[The camera flashes across a few groups of people in a large carport. It
is night, and there are bushes in the near background, a combination
which some of the people seem to find vaguely nervewracking.

It settles, looking briefly into the eyes of a tall wiry man in a
leather coat, then moving on. He's got space for a large amount of ammo
in his combat vest, but he doesn't have it full and his only weapon is a
pistol. The camera moves on before the guy can get twitchy... he looks
like he's got a mean temper.

The camera pauses briefly on a group of elves, talking quietly among
themselves, probably about something secret, and casting many suspicious
looks about. Whoever is controlling the camera doesn't seem to be very
interested, and moves on.

The view pauses on a woman who's either forty and disguising it with
makeup, or thirty and hasn't bothered. The black roots in her blond hair
imply the latter, as do her scruffy jeans, worn boots, and black
t-shirt. Like the first man, she has only a pistol on her, tucked into
her belt. She mouths a sentence after a moment, something along the
lines of "what the fuck are you looking at", and the camera moves on.

It stops on a dwarf, who is pacing around the edge of the bushes. Like
most dwarves, he's stocky, but this one has taken it to extremes. He
constantly watches the perimiter, with the occasional scornful glance at
the elves, and at another group, a small squad of orcs and trolls.

The camera lingers on the mixed assortment of trogs after the dwarf
passes. They're laughing and joking, one less, who stands out by his
dress as well. He's also bigger than most, but his body language is more
unassuming than dominant. Wise, given that all the others wear the same
gang patch. They all seem friendly enough, though.

The camera jogs suddenly, and then moves around quickly to look at
someone close and to the left. By the look of the motion, it must be an
eye camera, and the implantee is looking at one of his small group of
human gangers.

"Screw D, the man's startin'," the ganger says.

The camera swings to the right, and focuses on a short weasellish man in
a middle of the range suit. His haircut is about three months passe, as
is his ostentatious diamond watch.

"Welcome," he begins, waiting for the orcs and trolls to stop talking.
"Thanks for coming... there'll be some food shortly, but first I want to
talk to you all about what is to come. The men we are going to be
fighting are quite vicious, and will use deadly force without
hesitation. Some may try to take you prisoner instead, which you will
obviously want to avoid. I don't mind what level of force you choose to
use, these soldiers are not the asset I want to trash. The facilities
are your top priority target.

The second thing I want to bring up is the timetable. Certain people
will respond to each attack, and I want these people to be scurrying
around like idiots from one target to the next. This requires you to
attack your target at as near to the time I'll give you as possible, and
to get out by the given time also. You _do_ not want to face the people
I'm talking about... none of you is well enough paid to risk it.

Harley, I have a special assignment for you relating to this group. I'll
be talking to you more about that later.

All right, dinner is served around on the patio, I'll be talking to each
of you while we eat."

The members of the implantee's gang start moving past him, and the
camera dies.]
+++++end file meeting.ftg

+++++begin file meeting2.ftg
["So," says the suit from before, "how's the beef burger?"

"Good," mumbles someone from behind the camera, somebody else adding,
"Real! This is only about the fourth time I've had it."

"Excellent..." replies the suit, then hands the implantee a chip.
"Business time now, though. Your target is summarised on this chip, as
is the timetable. You'll be second, not that is matters as long as you
follow the timetable. I've erred on the side of safety, but even so,
you'll want a goodly time to get out of the area if you're going to get
away. I wish you the best of luck."

The suit takes a bite of his hot dog, and begins to chew while bombarded
with questions, which he ignores. The implantee raises his hand past the
camera and the click of a chip slotting home resonates through his skull
to the camera's audio pickup, a rather disconcerting crackly sound.

"Shut it, will you, it's all on here."]
+++++end file meeting2.ftg

So, I'm going to raid this boathouse on the extreme north of the sound,
I have three boats to sink, and some timer-detonated limpts to plan
around the docks for the two that'll come back later. I also have to
burn and destroy as much of the associated buildings as I can, before
getting out, fifteen minutes after we moved in. Should be a blast!]<<<<<

>>>>>Got out alive though and let's face it that's the important thing.
Resistance heavier than expected but not excessive. I'd guess that
paramilitary was bulldrek though; those guys were pro's, tight controlled
bursts, moving by sections, covering fire the whole deal. I'd got the
charges set before the drek hit the fan though, mission accomplished. Nem,
check the embedded video, see if you can work out what woke them up (Ha!).

+++++ Include File: Run 100463.mpg
[The picture quality is poor, grainy; probably to save memory. A cheap
digital video camera is pointing towards the viewer, held by two black
leather gloved hands, the right glove missing the thumb and forefinger, and
with a fibre optic cable trailing in the same direction, the perspective and
odd overlaps suggest that the feed from a pair of eyes has been mashed
together to form the image, unsettling at first it gives good depth
perception when you get used to it. The image cuts to a tall wiry dark
haired man in a dark tan greatcoat, a fibre optic cable trails from an
apparent datajack in his right temple forward and out of shot, the man's
featureless black cybereyes blink and the image cuts back to the camera,
lined out in thermographic enhancement. The image flicks between the two a
few more times, no shot lasting longer than about half a second and each
shot of the camera slightly different, lowlight, smartlink
crosshairs...etc.]

Sorry, that's the test, skip through that. I had to make sure the camera
could pick up everything through my eyes.

+++++ Resume File: Run 100463.mpg
[The perspective is through the eyes, lowlight vision is active showing
wooded terrain, the perspective is moving, it glances toward the dark man's
feet regularly, checking his footing. The man is carrying a sturdy sniper
rifle, a custom job, in a way that suggests a degree of professional
familiarity and there's a submachine gun, an HK227 strapped to his left
thigh. The perspective looks back up to where a small military looking
complex is now visible through the trees, the perspective watches for a
while, switching between vision systems and tagging the guards
electronically. As the view sweeps over the base occasional buildings are
highlighted and tagged. The perspective begins to move again, slowly and
with apparent care around the perimeter, the nearest building is soon a
large low structure tagged "Barracks". Still a way away from the building
the perspective stops again, watches, then lowers; the sniper rifle comes
into view, the targeting reticule of a smartlink easing in from the left of
the picture, the bipod is set and the rifle put down, the reticule winks
out.
Soon the view point is downward, the man is squatting apparently, an
autoloading shotgun across his knees, he's undoing pockets on the assault
vest he's wearing trying to find something which appears to be a new
addition to his inventory; finally he pulls a few metallic cylinders, about
the size of a shotgun cartridge from a low pocket, low light is activated,
the lettering on the caps of the cartridges becomes visible, NS7. The man
loads the shotgun with half a dozen of them with half a dozen more
conventional shells mixed in. and slowly, carefully jacks the slide.
Creeping forward he shifts his grip, obviously taking hold of the pistol
grip. A target reticule reappears, yellow to suggest that the range is
greater than the weapon is capable of. The perspective creeps closer. The
reticule sweeps across the windows of the barracks numbers racing alongside
it to indicate range. A clock window pops out of nowhere the display says
03:22:37 the last digits changing rapidly, counting down. The man creeps
closer. The clock ticks down; 01:02:34. The reticule is green over every
window. The clock ticks down; 00:32:15. The icon of three bullets disappears
from beside the reticule. 00:30:05. The red word safe disappears. The
shotgun is shouldered. The clock ticks down. The reticule is directly over a
window. It flicks to red. The clock ticks down. 00:00:00 the gun fires
twice. The window shatters with the first shot. Retarget. Two shots,
different window. Retarget, adjust. Two shots. Retarget. Two shots. The
clock ticks up, red rather than green; 00:06:42. Six windows shattered. Mist
drifting from the first couple. The perspective moves rapidly, glancing down
at the gun as the man reloads metallic cylinders on the run. The woods. The
perspective slows down, more careful. Creeping through the woods. The rifle
is there suddenly, between the trees. The man slings the shotgun. The rifle
is picked up. Its reticule reappears, the scope comes up and the scene is
clearer. The weapon reticule vanishes again, blinking twice then gone. Text
scrolls across the inside of the eye.

"Neurostun 7 estimated effective: 98%
Attack direction determined? 27%
Objective 1 complete."

The rifle scans, watching for guards. Nothing. The scope drops away. The
perspective moves again, quicker but just as carefully. It looks up
frequently at the highlighted building tagged "Primary Objective" down by
the river. It's close now, the clock ticks up; 02:20:17. The view scans, a
small group of guards are moving at pace towards the building, the view
scans past them flicking suddenly back. A targeting reticule appears, the
scope of the rifle filling the view. The first guard never knew what hit
him; the bullet takes him high in the neck blowing out most of the back of
his skull. The second dies before he has a chance to react. The remaining
three flatten themselves and two of them bring their weapons to bear. The
third simply twitches. Muzzle flares light up the scope; the guards are
disciplined rapid firing but not opening up in full auto. The view lurches,
inverting as the man rolls away from his previous position. Again the scope
fills the view and quickly the muzzle flares marking the position of the two
guards go dark. The view spins, the building within reach now. Small blocks
of plastic explosive are fixed to the doors and the walls next to them. The
man pulls a thread from the detonator pack of one and links it to the next.
He repeats the procedure with the others, scanning for guards regularly, all
except the last. Pressing a button on the last charge starts a timer. The
man runs. The scenery is lit up by the explosions 30 seconds later.]

That's when the drek really did hit the rotary oscillator, either someone
hadn't done their homework or the REMF who'd set this job up was trying to
get away with paying drek.

+++++ Resume file: Run 100463.mpg
[The view continues towards the margins of the woodland, lit by fires
behind. The man apparently hears something, the view turns even as the
ground is torn up by machinegun fire. The HK227 is pulled from the man's
thigh and he sights vaguely with a three round burst. Magnesium coloured
sparks fly across the windscreen of the Bison. It's a military modified
vehicle, a turret on the roof holding the machine gun. The view turns away
as the man again runs towards the wooded margins.
The view is bouncing awkwardly, the man obviously limping. Machinegun fire
tears up the turf sporadically but somehow the man avoids being hit. The man
changes direction sharply several times once inside the wood. Finally tired,
or hurt too much to run further the view turns back. The Bison has torn
through the chain-link fence and sits on the edge of the forest. The turret
scans slowly. The view turns down watching the man replace the 227 on his
thigh, the leathers there are torn and blood has soaked them to the knee.
The man pulls an aerosol and liberally sprays the wound. The view moves up
sharply. The Bison's gun walks bullets directly towards the man's position.
The view moves as the man ducks behind a large tree.]

I've had a look over the shots and a little look at some slightly classified
data, The turret was obviously sensor assisted but it still shouldn't have
been able to pick me up that easily. Turns out the thing carried a pair of
shotgun microphones, gives it great directional "hearing". Watch out for
that one. I won't include the rest of that file, there's another 2.4MP of
it, suffice to say I got clear, although not without some serious effort.
So what's been going on back here while I've been laying low?]<<<<<

This may not be your sort of thing. This is a shotgun approach...
probably half of the targets will be successfully destroyed, and that's
good enough for my employers. And sadly, street punks are pretty much

Numbers... I'm looking for thirty altogether, though it'll probably only

I need the current status and inventory of every training camp within the

engagements and border analysis. If these people want to screw us around
lets see how hard we can make it for them.
Get me the current operational status of Standing-Elk and his men, put them
on alert if you can, we may need a rapid response unit on this one.
Pull the files for the people most likely to be behind this, I want the top
twenty probables on my desk within the hour.
William, get to work on some amalgamation plans, if they want to hit us lets
see if we can't move a few targets, I don't want anything reduced to less
than unit size but let's try to make sure whatever armour and ordinance we
have in the area has good infantry support. but let's keep it subtle OK.
