This is jest a note to let you know Ah'm allraht, but Ah won't be comin'
home as soon as Ah thought.

After thet Ahronman fella picked me up we drove to Chicago. It's been
kinda crazy since then Momma. We wuz shot at, chased, and Ah even saw
whut one fella called a "Mantis Spirit." Whutever thet is.

Ah'm afraid Momma. Ah've seen people die. Ah've seen more blood and
bullets in the last few days then Ah ever seen before, even huntin' at
home.

This friend of mahn Bull, he sez thet there might still be some of these
critters or killers after us, so Ah don't think it'd be safe for me to
come home for a while. Ah'll be staying <encrypted> until things calm
down.

The only good thing come outta the whole dern mess is thet Bull has been
teachin' me to use one o' them there 'puters. Fact is Ah nearly typed
this whole message mahself, with a little help from Bull! He said this
wuz gonna be sent out thru a "sub-rooteen" whutever that is, and that
way nobody who shouldn't oughta know where you are will find out.

Pray for me Momma. The world ain't whut I thought it was gonna be. Ah'll
write back when Ah can.

Oh, before Ah forget, Sorry about taking all the pesticide from the
barn. Bull thought it maht be handy round here. Tell Sally Sue her big
brother sez Hey!]<<<<<
