What's the usual complement of men at one of these things? Expecting there
to be anyone magically active other than myself? ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Usually, a single squad of armed Marines and a couple of desk
jockeys. Say.. a dozen bodies. An air-mobile platoon is kept
on five-minute warning at the Presidio. Magically aware assets are
almost never assigned directly to a checkpoint, but astral assets
have been known to show within a minute or two, but solely on the
astral plane. A single combat mage can be expected to show up with
the response platoon, but more can be called if somebody starts
tossing fireballs.

Griff, I've contacted a San Fran-based indie by the name o' GoD. He's
heavy into combat-based magic that augments unarmed combat - sorta
like a physad but he tells me he's got a couple of spells that can be
cast at a distance.

GoD, I've already talked to you, you know what's going on.

If you want, I was planning to assign some FryppSec assets for muscle.
Two orks and a troll, just for some goblin flavoring. Scipio will be
the senior FryppSec employee along, I can get him in contact with you
later. Lady Die's always a hit with the Marines, wait'll ya see her.
Freemont is yer usual, three-and-a-half meter troll. You know, fists
like frozen turkeys, drives nails with his forehead, you get the
idea...

I figure with meat bodies along, if either of you has to slip into
astral mode, they can keep an eye on the physical.

I'd try to find a decker to supress the checkpoint's security, but
they are directly isolated from the general matrix. You can get to
them through the system at the Presidio, but the SAN layering screws
with decks way too much. The checkpoint systems are designed
specifically to be too light to support anything heavier than the
usual info load passing between the checkpoint and home.

If you two can get downtown, stop by the offices some time, but give
me a call so we can get you inside with anybody noticing.]<<<<<
