>>>>>[ I am only sorry I was unable to help the unfortunate Grund.

I believe I know who is the cause of all this trouble, his name is Acherus.
An Entropy shaman, and a worshipper of Shedim, Master Of Strife, The god of
chaos.

His name comes from, a history deep rooted. Originally there were three
evil gods, brothers, They were named Shedim, Moloch and Acherus. They
formed an alliance known as the black triangle in an attempt to control the
world. But they met up with a lot of resistance and the story goes that
Moloch and Acherus were banished from the heavens. Moloch was banished to
the form of a Daemon, who was later locked inside a crystal by a powerful
elven mage. Acherus was banished to human form and was never heard of
again.

Whether this man is truly Acherus or not, his purpose is to reunite the
Black Triangle and this can never be allowed to happen.

These people he has killed must have come close to either his secret or to
something important to the reuniting of the Black Triangle.

There is little else I can tell you know. But due to the severity of this
situation. I am going to request your help. You will of course be payed
handsomely for any help you can offer.]<<<<<

>>>>>[An Entropy shaman is a worshipper of chaos in its purest form.

I believe I have a quote from another entropy shaman here somewhere.

Ahhh here it is.

+++++ include quote.pos

Entropy is persistent, ever demanding, taking energy away from the world -
both Mundane and Awakened. Nothing is untouched, everything eventually
yields to Entropy. People die. Nations crumble. Mountains are worn away.
Stars extinguish. It takes everything, but does not give any concession.
It is not a destroyer however, it does not revel in destruction, but rather
feeds on its effects. Change also feeds it, for in any change, something is
lost to Entropy.

+++++ end include

I hope that helps. I myself know little about them. They are very rare
indeed.

So were you willing to help me?]<<<<<

>>>>>[There isn't much worse to ruin a perfectly comfy mage's day than
when evil gods of long ago begin to stalk the earth....

Okay, that was probably uncalled for, but "the unfortunate Grund" can
hardly be helped by pointing an acusatory finger at LoveCraftian
elder-gods (who are unwary enough to be bound by mere-mortals) and who
are spoken of in "a history deep rooted" that no theologist that I've
ever known has heard of.

Admitedly, there is some "pretty nasty $#!*"(tm) out there. I've caught
glimpses of it, usually when high-tailing it in the other direction with
all undue haste. I have not heard much about Entropy Shamans. They
sound like a toxic variant of an Idol theme. But I know bad news when
I hear it.

Frankly, it doesn't matter what this Acherus fellow believes, as long as
he believes it. IF it lets him sling mana, it lets him sling mana, no
matter how long the meta-philosophers want to blather on about the
source of his abilities. If he believes slicing people up can further
his cause, he'll do it, even if his "gods" are nothing more than a
drug-enhanced halucination.

If his "pantheon" traces back to similar sources as the Moloch of the
pre-Christian Middle East, or simply borrows the name and some of the
concepts, it also sounds like bad mojo, Ancient Elven Wizards or no.
_That_ Moloch was a pagan god (linked with Baal), whose worshipers
sacrificed their children to him, until the Hebrews did their best to
eradicate them (let's hear it for YHVH!). The shedim, were, in hebrew
lore, some of the children of Adam and Lillith (a.k.a. daemons).

Acherus, well, I haven't heard anything about him myself. The fact that
the other two names stem from Hebrew literature while the third sounds
Roman in origin, is a bit confusing. After searching mythological and
theological sources, I tried an exhaustive search, but well you know
with the number of Yotta-bytes out there, it's kind of like finding a
reference to Elvis by playing numerological games with the Torah. The
only thing of any relevance were in some sort of pre-millenial
non-computer fantasy games. Interestingly, one of then lists all three
names that you mention as part of a "Black Triangle" of evil gods. On
the other hand these sources date back to 1998. Sixty-three years
isn't much in the way of "deep roots."

On the other hand, that is a truly frightening thought: there is some
twisted Awakened out there who slings mana in order to fulfil a prophesy
that some company made up for a _game_. It won't make his victims any
less dead.

There is one more thing that is bothering me. By the tone of your
message, you seem to believe the "Black Triangle" exist as well. (And I
am not saying as a group of runners who like obscure sources for
Shadow-nyms, but as actual "gods.") If you do, it unfortunately leads
to two possible conclusions: you belong to the same, or similar cult as
your dreaded Acherus, or, your search for him may end when you go to
brush your teeth tomorrow morning.]<<<<<
