>>>>>[ Say did someone metion the Indigo Nights a few weeks ago? The last
I heard of them they were involved in some big dustup over at Trump HQ last
year. I haven't really heard of them since. ]<<<<<

being strapped down in a corp interrogation room and being forced to watch
reruns of the old flat "the magic garden" for 72 hours straight while being
fed from a baby bottle! Those guys down at Southern Belle Inc. have strange
ideas about interrogation! ]<<<<<

OddBall,
if I recall correctly, they made you wear a diaper while some guy dressed like
Barney the Purple dinosaur sang children's songs to you, and you did like it!
They threatened to run you up the flagpole with "Riggers have small penises"
tattooed on your chest. They would have done it if I didn't show up with
Grimjaw and Ripcord to save your butts! ]<<<<<

us.
Hey DE, whatever happened to Grimjaw and Ripcord anyway? They just kinda went
they're seperate ways after that run. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ They went back to Seattle after that. They tried to talk me into
going back with them, to work with the old team again. I considered it, but
I had to get on with my life, Seattle was just a place I went to run away
from my problems. I still miss those guys, Grimjaw, Ripcord, Whip, Zulu, and
Alexis. They were an interesting bunch. Well, I guess I managed to put
together a team that's a bigger bunch of lunatics! Y'know, back then, I was
the only one on the team that remembered to take notes when meeting with
contacts! They set up one job without me, a simple retrieval, a cybered Dwarf
escaped and Mitsushama wanted him back. Well, we did the job, and had to
hunt for him in the tunnels under renraku and bring him to the docks for
dropoff. Well, we got to the docks an the others forgot which ship we were
supposed to bring him to. The Dwarf had a DocWagon Platnium Contract, so
an HTR team was closing in on the cab we hijacked while they were arguing
about what the password was.

The HTR team was about three blocks away when we unloaded from the cab.
Grimjaw said somthing like "oh drek not again" and got ready to fight while
I slipped the Doc Wagon bracelet off the wounded dwarf and threw it in the
back of the cab. I pulled my Predator and tipped the cabbie a 200 Y if he'd
leave real fast. While the others were still taking defensive positions and
checking weapons, I simply laughed as the cab pulled away. The HTR van sped
right by us and went after the long gone cab. Finally Grimjaw told me to
shut up and said we could've taken them. The next 10 minutes were hilarious!

We went down the docks (keep in mind at this point I didn't even know who our
employers were, I wasn't fully briefed) Anyway, we dragged the Dwarf to the
first ship and gave the codeword to the guard. The guard said "what the Frag
does Dragon's Den want with a beat up dwarf!" I gave Grimjaw that look, and sai
d "Didn't you say this was the place", to which he said "Frag, I guess I
forgot
which one it is!". That was my first contact with DDI, never did I know what
a pain in the ass they'd become. Finally whip said "hey, I thought Mitsu wante
d him" so rather than run up and down the docks firing shots into the air
yelling "who ordered a dwarf", we did the only thing that made sense, we went
to the ship with the mitsushama emblem on it. Needless to say I chewed out
my teamates for forgetting to take notes when meeting with contacts! Since
then they never set up a job without me and my handy Pocket Secretary!

>>>>>[ Well I'll have to finish off Spice's recounting of the story from
the
previous night. Right now he's recovering from some sever burning. Me thinks
he may be changing his mind that life in the shadows is all fun and adventure.
To shorten things down. IBA and Punisher got a job just before I went to
Paris. By the sounds of things there shouldn't have been any problems so I
went ahead with my plans to go away. The job, a pickup, a bonded courier on
the plane from Edingburgh. The employer, well you don't need to know.
Problem, Punisher and IBA were told late and so got to the airport late only
to find the pickup talking to two guys. Trouble started but the two guys
had mage backup and gas canisters. Before airport security could react IBA
was unconcious and Punisher was left to cover him while the two guys made a
quick getaway with the target.

Fortunately IBA recognized 1 of the team from some old files he looked into
once. Seemingly it was a runner by the name of Wolf, a mage and a member of
a New York team the Indigo Nights, folks here may remember that name. We did,
it was the name of the team that Kentucky used to run with. Further checking
in some files identified the second person a woman indeterminate age called
Trish, all we know about her is that she's fast and effective with both a
taser and a gas canister. According to the files a further three people run
with the Indio Nights, Samson - a troll sometimes acts as a rigger, Annie - a
female elf shaman (totem unknown) and Cerebus - a decker (only his matrix
icon is known, that of a three headed dog).

Well it isn't long before our intrepid duo find the whereabouts of the this
team. After all this isn't their home turf. So with the help of some of
IBA's street gang friends a raid is made. Well as with such things nothing
ever goes to plan and it was only the ones with enhaced reflexes who made it
out alive from the building that turned bomb. Many of IBA's gang land friends
died. The trail led IBA and Punisher to a variety of sites across Seattle
over the next few days. Some trapped, others not, but the team proved to
be just that one step ahead of IBA and Punisher. Fortunately none were as
badly trapped as that which took IBA's gang friends, not that they were having
any more to do with this buisiness anyway. Eventually IBA got word of a meet
between a Fuchi Mr Johnson and the sam called Trish. Investigating, a trap
was planned. As there was only two (myself still being in Paris) they decided
to wait till the transfer had taken place when they wouldn't have to deal with
the Indigo Nights. Well believe it or not the plan actually worked (must have
been Punisher's plan, IBA could have never have come up with such an idea).
The target was drugged and swapped for a briefcase. The group had their backup
in place of course but Punisher was careful not to be seen. Just as the
Johnson was leaving in a Nightsky Punisher fired a dart with a small transmitter
and an amour piercing tip into the back of the car, then proceeded to make a
stealthy exit from the scene leaving the Indigo Nights behind with their ill
gotten gains.

Well the idea worked like a treat until the Johnson must have run a bug scan.
Unfortunately for him though IBA already had him in his sights and Punisher
was on the way. Well I don't know all the details here but anyone who has
really seen IBA's van will know how heavily armoured it is and what sort of
armourments it carries. Somehow IBA managed to disable the Nightsky when it
stopped to look for the bug. About that time Punisher caught up in his Westwind
and took out the opposition inside.

So the plan worked and the target (a girl by the way, seemingly Punisher had
to get a promise from IBA not to do anything to her while she was unconcious)
was in our possession. Unluckily for IBA and Punisher the Johnson who they
were to contact had disappeared, and the fixer who put them in contact
orignally had clammed right up as if someone big time was leaning on him. It
was about this time that I got back. I made it over Punisher's pad with Spice
to find IBA checking up on the girl's background. By this time she had come
around and named herself as Megan, according to her story she had been
working with her father at Heriot Watt Univeristy on a new cyber interface
that would lower the body impact caused by cyberware. The work she claimed
was being paid for by Biosys a private concern here in Seattle run and owned
by her father and three of his friends. After a bit of checking it seems the
Johnson was one of those friends. The other two are one Julia Kerley and
one Kelvin Chung.

Before we could take any further action the house was assaulted. Fortunately,
Punisher's place is not easy to get into what with various security cameras
and hidden firing ports. What it lacked however was magical protection as
we found to our dismay when 5 big fire elementals manifested within the room and
began to attack. Now when I say big I mean big, Spice later informed me that
not one was less than force 8. Well one started to engulf IBA with another
engulfing Punisher while the three remaining caught Megan. For some reason
the elementals were only told to attack Punisher and IBA. Their master
obviously didn't expect them to find any magical opposition. While IBA
stuggled to overcome the effects of dump shock and stay away from the elemental
and Punisher desperatly started slicing the air with his spurs, I drew my
sword while Spice cast a manaball at the elementals dragging Megan away. The
battle was short but intense with all of us coming out with some nice burn
marks. When the last of the elementals was dispatched a signal seemed to pass
to the men outside trying to get past the robotic sentries which casued them
to leave. Well Megan was unconsious again from the manaball and we were in
need of another retreat. A safe house quickly arranged by one of our fixers
who was still talking proved the only choice. But as you will have guessed
from Spice's message cut short we had problems again. This time there was
8 elementals and they had orders to attack everyone except Megan. But this
time we were ready which left myself and Spice to play with the elementals
while IBA and Punisher took care of the trouble outside. Eventually we beat a
retreat. The mercs outside finding themselves pinned down under our gun fire
while myself and Spice made it out with Megan. Well we all got away, minimal
injuries on both sides. I've got the feeling that these mercs are just trying
to scare us away from Megan. But until we can find out what's happening we're
gonna keep hiding and runing. ]<<<<<
