Greetings from Seattle, this is Charlie Fingers with the latest in news.

Earlier today, and I hav just been handed a release that another has taken
place here in Seattle, a rash of seemingly unrelated deaths of corporate
officials, public figures, and researchers has taken place nationwide. All of
the Big Eight megacorps claim to be immune although this reporter has had it
leaked to him that they have had enough of these killings to almost double the
current figure. Currently, there have been 34 killings, many in an execution
or assassination style. Car bombs, snipers, hit-and-run vehicular homicide,
gang attacks, and even a piano falling on one DenverSeattAre

gang attacks, and even a piano falling on the Denver Minister of Commerce have
been blamed for the deaths, and the toll keeps rising. Here in Seattle we have
had only 3 deaths that this reporter knows of, but more is likely. Interpol
has been called in to investigate, with the Special Unit leader Commander
Drake in charge of the investigation.

I love my job. Solitaire, hope you like having your associate's doings aired
for public consumption. What, no response?]<<<<<

>>>>>[This is exceedingly interesting. I just extracted some rather
unusual
data from the Renraku/Boston system. It appears that Maxim is also short
selling a rather large quantity of Farrleton stock, but not purchasing it back
through shells like Renraku. A memo I intercepted indicates that this is
creating some trepidation among the involved departments in Renraku. And I'm
most disappointed, but I fear my last well entrenched data worm in Maxim was
recently discovered and removed from the system, so I am no longer in contact
with internal data as I was earlier. Perhaps someone else could include some
intelligence on them? Or perhaps.... We shall see. If I have more to share,
I shall do so. This is most intriguing....]<<<<<

agent. I was under the impression that, even within CDC, mages would have
gone to their own equipment, rather than having someone else have a link
to them.

Explain the "war" zone deal. Im not sure I follow, and with something like
this, I cant afford to not fully understand your thoughts.

Did you ever have a tour-of-duty in chicago with CDC?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Even when you make something yourself, you can show up little
tricks and traits your teacher taught you. Take artists as an example, the
brilliant ones have a style of their own from the start, but the stock artist
shows up the style of the person who taught them for some time, until they
develop a real feel for what they are doing.
Most of these agents would have been trained to a stanard level by the same
people and will use essentially the same formulae with there own personal
style trying to shine through. If you know what little traits are common
then it can all help knowing what is going on.

As to my "war" zone comment, well as I mentioned the CDC agents are trained
to be fanatic about what they do. On top of this they have federal
jurisdiction so they tend to be almost gung-ho, but not in a foolish way.
If this budget boost comes our way there will be a considerable number of
well equipped and trained HMHVV and Toxic hunters in town with no real qualms
about causing collateral damage if it means catching a Ghoul, or whatever they
are hunting, to score media points with.

I have spent about a month in Chicago, unofficial stuff, a fellow from Tir
wanted me to go find his Banshee daughter before she got herself killed.
Turned out she had joined up with a few other of her kind and a pack of Ghouls.
They were living at the edge of the Orc underground and feeding off them. I
helped the Orcs take out the more militant ring leaders and the rest dispersed
before the Orcs could catch them. Managed to get the girl out too. I dare say
that the Orcs are no more after the way Chicago went up, pity, they were a
good bunch of guys.

>>>>>[Lieutenant Montoya, I'm sorry I've taken so long to speak to you.

My congratulations on your promotion: I wish it were in happier
circumstances. I'd also like to say I'm pleased to find one of the few
people around who are better shots than I am: your marksmanship is
astounding.

I'm at least glad that Commander Drake was able to appoint you to be his
replacement. That means you must be honest and capable: that makes our
job harder, yet is a good thing. Contradictory? But true.

If the Commander needs any assistance of us (and I only mean legal
methods, for now) let me know and we'll do all in our power to help him.
For all the difficulties and pain he's caused me, he's done far more
harm to our enemies by his honesty and integrity. If you are able to
communicate with him, I have another quote from Edmund Burke for him,
that I'd appreciate you passing to him:

"He that wrestles with us strengthens our nerves, and sharpens our
skill. Our antagonist is our helper."

I wish you and the Commander good fortune, Lieutenant Montoya. You're
both going to need it. If you need my help, it's yours: just don't try
to arrest me too soon after I help you <g>]<<<<<

been talking about lately. She professional. She's not mentioned not
one street name in the last couple of nights we've been together. Ill keep

Im worried about flux, but I am worried about you as well. Ill start
freeing up people to have them ready if you need them. Dont worry about
Serenity. Everyone needs to know that you dont frag with our people. We
started out as a hoop kickin', blood thirsty security company, and thats
why people paid us to do. I dont want anyone to think we've gotten
soft. Truth be told, we've solidified a spot where Freddy's people moved
out of, and pulled down enough contracts (both legal and otherwise) to
purchase a quite a little arsenal of both Ex-runners (personnel) and
equipment (atvs, drones, and a couple pretty decent choppers).

We'll be graduating another class in just under 2 weeks, and another
hiring spree near christmas should have us up over 120 officers. I think
we are doing well.

No chance we can get you back, is there?]<<<<<
