>>>>>[Guess someone had a little trouble today....

+++++The scene is a quiet street, probably somewhere in Bellevue, judging
by how clean the streets are. A young human Japanese male, probably
somewhere in his mid teens, is walking quietly down the sidewalk. The
picture has the usual fuzziness of standard drone optics, but you can pick
out his hair color - pure white, and the symbols on the back of his medium
grey coat - they are kanji, and when the translation program automatically
kicks in, it inteprets them as meaning "Walking Death".

As the young man walks down the street, he gradually slows as he approaches
an alley, stopping completely just prior to the corner. The drone,
probably a standard Lone Star traffic drone, shifts location slightly and
looks down the alley. Immediately adjusting the optics into infrared
indicates that there are approximately 20 figures, all bipedal and likely
orc, sitting and standing around another figure. As the optics adjust for
the lower lighting in the alley, the figure becomes less of a heat blob and
more of a human woman, one who has obviously been beaten badly by the orcs,
who you now see are a gang, probably recently formed - the colors aren't
immediately familiar.

The young man, still stopped, performs some odd and likely martial arts
movements and breathing exercises, apparently oblivious to the two orcs who
have started sneaking up from behind him. As they approach, the young
man's stance changes ever so slightly, and when the orcs lunge after him,
one apparently decides that he wants to learn how to fly. The other
successfully gets ahold of the young man, but somehow the orc's stance
changes from a powerful, fully stable lifting and throwing stance to one
where his body wants to drive his head full force into the concrete
sidewalk. However, the commotion has attracted the attention of the other
orcs in the alley, and 8 or 9 rush out toward the exit where the young man
is now standing.

As the orcs arrive, the young man appears to dance around them. Ever time
an orc appears to get a solid grip on the teenager, he sends that orc in
some odd direction, breaking a leg here, destroying a knee there, dancing
an orc out into the street, pulling an arm out of joing, etc. As this
continues, you realize that the young man is rather put upon, facing this
many attackers simulataneously, and that the orcs are slowly wearing him
down. But they're still recieving much more than they are dishing out.

Back with the woman are some 11 or so orcs, watching the fight from a safe
distance. One of them, probably a leader of some sort, watches with what
appears to be growing irritation as his gangers are slowly beaten up by a
lone short human. Suddenly the orc just loses his temper, shouts out for
the rest of the gangers to pull thier knives, and then pulls a pistol
himself. As the other gangers pull weapons, a change comes over the young
man, and where he was smiling before, even as he was being worn down, his
smile fades, almost as if he just got serious. Of the original orcs who
attacked, only 4 are still able to attack, and they rush the young man
simultaneously, while 4 more of the "reserve" orcs also rush the young man.

As you watch, the first wave of orcs run into the young man, and he just
dances out of the way again, timed this time not to throw the orcs around,
but rather to avoid the flashing blades. The two orcs coming at each other
from opposite directions barely avoid stabbing each other as thier target
dodges. The young man's dodge, however, puts him almost into the grasp of
another orc, who brings the knife down as if to drive it through the young
man's skull. Instead the knife comes down on empty air as the young man
steps back into the orc's stomach, reaches out, grabs the orc's wrists, and
drives the knife through the orc's foot.

As interesting as the knife fight is, the drone camera turns away, back to
the gang leader who is standing there with his heavy pistol pointing at the
kid. Suddenly, all the orcs around him burst into flame, complete with the
necessary screaming. Only he and the bound woman appear unharmed. As he's
standing, surrounded by flame, a lone figure with golden eyes steps out of
the shadows. The orc spins to point his pistol at her, but before he can
complete the movement, a second figure, completely cloaked, wraps itself
around the orc. The orc begins to kick as the cloaked figure lifts him up
several stories, and then lets go. The orc tumbles 3 stories and lands in
a violent thud. The drone sensors indicate that the orc is still alive,
but is seriously injured and will need a hospital. As quickly as they
arrived, the golden-eyed girl and the cloaked figure disappear again.

Back at the head of the alley, a second figure, this one also cloaked, but
all in grey robes, has joined the young man, and all the orcs have fared
extremely poorly, although none of them are dead. Nor, for that matter,
are any of the orcs on fire. In fact, as soon as the battle ends, the fire
disappears, but the orcs still sound like they are in severe pain. The two
figures come up to the woman, help her to her feet, and then escort her
quickly out of the alley.+++++

Very nice, neh? Anybody recognize the boy? And how about that martial art
- they were both using it, although it was pretty obvious which one was
better at it. And as for those two "helpers", I wonder who they
were....]<<<<<

I can't believe you actually got a picture of those two, if that ain't and
obvious match, I bet I can guess their street names.

As for the martial art, it reminded me of Tai Chi Chuan (sp?) or maybe Aikido
of some various form. I've seen Binder do it in the mornings sometimes, and
in the occasional fight. But, not with -NEAR- the class that had.

Walking Death eh? Hmm ... were I not a busy boy, I'd go looking.]<<<<<

Bah... if the muthafuckers had any sense, they would've used more guns.
Mass suppressive fire from, oh, let's say, 5 SMGs... and buy-bye little
dancing shit.

Anyways... seems we have the Kung-Fu Vigilante squad on the rampage. Hope
the muthafuckers got paid, at least. Hell, maybe got a couple of "favors"
from that bound bitch. Ah.. that would be a riot.]<<<<<

Haze is posting in clear to the Matrix, and you can't get me a better

might consider enrolling in the Tai Chi Chuan class being offered at
Haven, under their PE classes. While generally taught as a meditation
method, it can be used actively as a formidable method of self defense.

Private instruction in something more "aggressive" would have to be
discussed with the instructor and taken elsewhere because of Haven's
strict "No Fighting" policy. The former, though, has the advantage of
being rather inexpensive, although I am sure Valentine would like you to
contribute what you could towards the school. There are of course other
martial arts schools around Seattle, but I don't exactly know what you are
looking for.

On a similar note, are there any Capoeiristas in the Seattle area? I've
been interested in taking lessons in the form for some time, but until
recently I have been too busy to give it more than academic study.]<<<<<
