Your reputation and credentials precede you. This however will not
affect your application.

Please report to John Cavanaugh at 1237, 27th and Main, Redmond. He
will give you instructions to your next location. This location will be
a drop point containing information of the parameters of your "test".
Your recognition will be "When will the flowers bloom on Broadway", he
will respond "When the snobs stop their dogs pissing on them."

It shouldn't need to be said, but I'm afraid this is standard. Do not
seek to trace me, or to investigate my existence in any form. Your
contact will know nothing beyond the envelope he hands you, do not
question him. The mission parameters are self deleting and will self
destruct after the message and instructions have been viewed - do not
keep this item about your person, we would hate you to have an
inadvertant accident. The instructions will be kept relatively simple
to allow rapid absorption and less misinterpretation. Upon successful
completion of the test you will be paid according to your success or
failure, but you will be paid.

Further instructions will be available upon completion of the test. This
will include the mission parameters, contact addresses and other
relevant information. Any equipment we consider necessary for
employment during your activities will be provided by us through a
contact in the mission area. Do not take any personally preferred items
with you, it would be too much of a risk during your transportation.

False identification, papers, travel permits, cybernetic licences,
temporary visa's and other essential items will be issued if necessary
prior to your travel.

We look forward to employing you.]<<<<<

Cat-o-nine appears professional, and the mission demanding enough to
secure good payment. We may or may not secure the work, and the usual
dangers apply, but it appears promising so far and well matched to our
skills.

Kristling's mission offers a great deal of money: we must ask what risks
we would take to run that. I am also prejudiced against anyone calling
themselves 'the Weird' in an offer of employment. Also, he seeks a
missing person, here in Seattle. This is still not truly our home, and
we are soldiers, not detectives: I am unsure what we could offer such an
investigation other than brute firepower, and in that we risk revealing
ourselves to those who would still hunt us.

I do not expect to justify my every decision so, but in this case I
believe it is appropriate]<<<<<

Our assumption about retaining the goods was based on timing; we
recieved your message waving off the mission as we were extracting from
the warehouse and going to ground. We thus assumed the entire operation
was a writeoff, and that you would not be collecting the materiel.

Our assumption was wrong, and thus we are ready to deliver the material
to whatever location you require.

You are gracious in excusing our error and offering us the materiel: as
a compromise, we would wish to retain a portion of the weapons and
approximately half the explosives

Seattle (UCAS) (AP) -- The Local chapter of the Children Of Thunda was
struck a grevious blow today, as its Director, Michael Garamask. Was
found brutally shot and killed along with 5 other people in what can
only be called a massacre. Immediatly, most Metuhuman protection groups
issued statements denying their involvment in the attack, and condeming
the use of violence anywhere.

COT were unavailable for comment, but are reported to be assisting Lone
Star with their enquiries. It is suspected that this attack may be in
reprisal for the recent spate of terrorist actions by the militant wing
of COT that has occured over the last few days.

This statement came in within minutes of the attack from the Black Hand,
an Elven metahuman policlub, known to oppose the foundation of COT
chapters in Seattle's barrens.

+++++begin Black.interV

"We, as decent metahumans, must shun the use of violence ANYWHERE! The
fight to bring equal rights to all of our people will not be advanced by
the slaughter of those who stand in the way of decency... Only by
exposing them through the media, and by education, will people learn
that we are indeed, one human people. But this use of senseless
violence only sets us back, and MUST STOP!"

+++++end Black.interV

No official word has come from other CoT chapters, and survivors have
refused all interviews. Lone Star, also refused any comments, citing "an
ungoing investigation into the matter"...

There is no official statement from the FBI regarding this or the other
recent terrorist events in Seattle. Whether this silence is an
indication that another event similar to the one that rocked this city
nearly a year ago, that was finally brought to a bloody end by the
heroic actions of Lt Jason Lynch or of they are simply individual acts
by extremists on the anniversary of the death of the man known to the
public as Thunda is at this time unknown. However, it is safe to assume
that we have not heard the last of this yet.

This is Julia Black, reporting live for MOM/707.

This second part of Haze's mission was a little more public, but still
satisfactory. Both targets were eliminated. Haze was injured in the
attack it seems, but my contacts confirm that it was only minor. I
think we can assume that the test was completed to our satisfaction. I
am awaiting feedback on this prior to assigning equipment for the
completion of the primary objective]<<<<<

somewhat superceded by other incidents within the city. I find it
amusing that this attack, designed to stir COT into some sort of lunacy,
has coincided with a current campaign by these very people. How
convenient.

Haze has proved himself to be versatile, reliable and suitably brutal.
It would be a shame to waste him on the assassination attempts when he
could make such a wonderfully public statement elsewhere. It might be
worthwhile turning the assassination over to a more professional hit,
and releasing Haze into the depths of depraved slaughter. I have a
target in mind, and I believe that we can offer sufficient funds to temp
him. It would mean the death of certain "lesser" individuals. I would
recommend that Sha'i'talis is removed from access to public datanets in
order to prevent his involvement. You know how he holds to that
precious code of his.

There is one, employed previously to kill several members of Seattle's
underworld who may be suitable for the deliberate termination of our
primary targets. I will attempt to contact him if you wish. Though I
believe that he has a certain pride in his efficiency. It may be that
we will have to directly betray him to achieve the fourth object of the
killings. That would require the sacrifice of an individual to placate
him for further employment opportunities.

It is soon time for Urbanus to attend his ritual. I will arrange to
have him partake of this at our retreat. I think the Reservoir should
be sufficiently remote for us to be safe in his seperation from events.

I am not sure about this Haze though. I have looked into his background
a little more, and the man is dangerously unstable. His reliance on
drugs is not reliable enough to guarantee his loyalty. It is important
that certain objectives are achieved. Allowing him too much
responsibility within our plans may be a mistake. Please consider

magic you witnessed at Crater Lake, and the dangerous experiments the
council are indulging in their wild fantasies of becoming Gods.

Surely something that is constructed from chemicals that can be
replicated almost anywhere by anyone with a chemistry set is far more
reliable than the strange worlds of power that are being probed by the
lunatics who seek things they cannot control?

Haze may be unreliable, he may have his faults, but through his
addiction he can be relied upon and controlled to a finer degree that
the people who believe they can gain world domination through the
employment of powers beyond their comprehension. I have a contingency
plan in progress should Haze screw this up, and there is always Cholo
