Unless something personal or with the Shifters comes up, I am usually
there. My co-instructor, Mrs. Long is also there usually, and covers for
me when I cannot teach the class. There are no uniforms, but wear
something comfortable that allows a full range of motion.

I am familiar with Shotokan Karate, but have not studied it as extensively
as a specialist. I can say that your knowledge of Shotokan may help in
learning Tai Chi Chuan. You can think of the class as only teaching a
very precise form of kata that contains the elements of the true martial
art. However, it may hinder, if you have patterned certain movements at
the reflex level, since a number of them are only generally similar to
the ones found in Shotokan.

You've expressed interest earlier in my own style. I would suggest
attending a few Tai Chi classes first, and then deciding if that was what
you were looking for, or if you feel private lessons would be in order.
The full extent of my Dao (or Do, if you happen to be Japanese) has taken
me most of a lifetime to develop, and I doubt you have the patience for
that. Nor should you, because it is my Dao, crafted to my strenghts and
weaknesses and not yours. I can, however, start you on the way to finding
your own.]<<<<<
